As a keen photographer Lisbon offers do much. The light is amazing for taking photos from Alfama to Bairro Alto in central Lisbon. The local restaurants are worthy of seeking out in the evening for some delicious fish or meat dishes. If wine is your bag there's so much variety and good quality wine to choose from.

Lisbon is a great city, various attractions, museums, & abundance of food options. There are various venues for different age groups. Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine and a vast selection of wines are exceptional. Living accommodations are vast for every budget. From Newer Modern facilities to Guest Houses. Be careful older building have some issues. Lisbon is cost effective for daily living expense. Locals are friendly, cheerful and helpful. It is a city with hills and the slippery sidewalks, Walkable with good shoes and good health, otherwise public transport and tuk-tuks.

Good stuff: beautiful buildings and squares, walkable as long as you can handle steep-ish hills and cobble stones. Mass transit was plentiful. Fun to wander the different neighborhoods. People are mostly welcoming and English is well spoken most everywhere (lucky us). One or two good walking tours to learn about history and lifestyle (Devor food tour). Shout out to NARC an amazing, free archaeological site/tour in the middle of tourist area. Challenges: lots and lots of tourists. The locals are overwhelmed. Tourism is new meaning there are not as many signs and aids to get around. Portuguese is not an easy language to speak or read. Latin language background would be helpful. I wish I had skipped going to Sintra and the castle instead did more shopping, galleries, and street art wandering.

Spread out your stay in lisbon.

Spread out your stay in lisbon. One should stay in the outer areas of sintra ,Estoril and Cascais for four days or so and 3 days in lisbon city to experience the best of country side ,city and historic surroundings. Malls are great for shopping ,restaurants and cuisines from all over the world are available but eateries are open until 12 am in most areas. Uber and bolt should be used by tourists who are not used to metros and trains or are confused with bus and tram routes !the former is not expensive .

Perfect location for the night life in Lisbon. Beautiful new hotel. Don’t be fooled by the old Google Street View images. This old office building was completely renovated and converted into a hotel with a great restaurant and bar. For a 5 Star hotel, the price was unbeatable. Breakfast was exceptionally good and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful with booking taxis and passenger vans for our group. I cannot say enough good things about our stay and will definitely book this property the next time I’m in Lisbon.

Everything… From being picked up from the airport in a Tesla (pipedream to own one of these) to the fantastic service we received by every person along the way cannot recommend this place enough. They even went above and beyond when we thought Lisbon was about to be locked down due to covid (it ended up being fine). The place itself is fantastic and the food is great too. Highly recommend the breakfast. My partner and I travel a lot and this is one of the best 4 star hotels we have ever stayed in.

Best experience to discover Lisbon. The property is impressive, in an old Palace. The staff is focused on every single small detail to make the stay a wonderful experience. Room was very very comfortable, the tailor made breakfast every morning absolutely terrific. The hotel has one of the best rooftop of the city and the view is to die for. The location is perfectly , beautiful view of the old city and the river and so close by to all the action. I will definetely go back again in the future.

Close to the metro and airport links. Once you get to grips with the metro and in particular the bus service getting around was great fun. Some good bars and restaurants nearby and a lot cheaper than the city centre. Good size room and great shower, lifts might be a problem if the hotel was full, but for our stay it was fine. This is my 4th visit to the city and by far the best hotel so far, but not really 5 star quality but for the price an excellent hotel and no where near 5 star prices.

Well, don’t want you, all readers, to get it wrong, but this class of hotels are not usually available in this applications. It’s the best hotel by far, that I have been in. It is what a 5 star hotel should be. Besides that It’s brand new, the staff at front desk are just pristine. I ordered what I thought just a regular breakfast with granola-maple syrup-bananas-dry fruit etc, and I just had a explosion of flavors in my mouth, the ingredients are the best quality and freshness.

One of the best hotels I visited in Europe. Very friendly staff, the lady who greeted me late at night at my arrival gave me a quiet room just like I asked, with a view away from the main street. Breakfast is very good and inclusive, from omelette with bacon to everything you could think of. Breakfast schedule is until 10:30 AM so great even if you are not a morning person. A 10 minute car ride from the airport and 3 short metro stops away from the city centre.

5 star in every way. I was having a hard time figuring out which hotel and neighborhood to stay in in Lisbon and this hotel checked all the boxes. First of all, it's literally a mansion. There are only 6 rooms so you feel like you are at a friend's mansion. The breakfast was included and amazing. you can eat on patio or in your room. Its such an amazing hotel and staff, it was hard to leave.

It's a beautiful hotel and a lovely place to stay. The garden square outside is gorgeous and you are walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The staff were exceptional, very welcoming and helpful. Delicious breakfast and great bar. There are not many hotels of this standard in Lisbon so if you're looking for the best but without the impersonal nature of the big chains, then this is for you.
