Nothing beats being right on the hill, walking out your door to trails and the mountains. We hiked the paths each twice over two days and it was great being able to walk right out the door. The hot tub was nice and the food was ok at chimney corner. We’ll stay again

Beautiful location, ample choice of restaurants (including good gluten-free and vegan options), very lovely ambiance and walkability, some good sights to see in town plus access to a variety of activities. However, in high season, there are a LOT of tourists and hotel rates are high for what you get (e.g., over $500 for an older style hotel room that hasn't been updated).

Banff was so beautiful! We stayed at Juniper Bistro.

Banff was so beautiful! We stayed at Juniper Bistro. Once we arrived, we checked in and headed up Mt Norquay, took the open chairlift up to Cliffhouse Bistro for dinner in the drizzle. There had been thunder and lightning and then hail, but I'm so glad we stook it out as we were awarded a rainbow in the view. The bistro was amazing! I'm the morning we got coffee at the Fairmont hotel, Canada's Castle, and then walked around the Cascades garden, and hit some shops. Great time for just an overnight stop.

I spent 20 days at the Hostel. A little too long for Banff, but the facility and staff were great. It made me a little sad when I left. Many of the staff members referred to me as a friend. And that's the way they treat guests. Not just someone who paid for a bed for the night.

Banff is a must visit destination for all nature lovers, and all the more so for those who like hiking. Just plan sufficiently far ahead in advance, especially if you want to visit Moraine Lake. What took me the most by surprise is how easy it is to access the park by Roam Transit buses from downtown Banff. Also love all the great options ot eat and shop.

Amazing scenery - just walking along the river was calming and our photos showed the incredible scenery. We didn't have a bad meal during our days here. It is the central location for going all over the region. The regional bus system was very easy to use and convenient for those without a car. The view from the top of the gondola ride was definitely worth it, and even just the short trails we took gave us a feel for the majesty of the mountains.

The short 15 minute walk from downtown Banff and all its amenities was a major plus, and the main reason we chose the hotel. The attached Keg restaurant was a nice surprise! Very friendly and helpful staff, they make an effort to answer your questions, volunteer information and advice, and ensure you're aware of options and services. We didn't get a chance to use the pool/spa facilities because of our short stay and busy schedule but those looked nice as well.

Nice location for Banff town, 20 minute slow walk or 5 mins on the cheap frequent local busses that run past the hotel, the stop is only a minutes walk from the hotel. We used the outside spa which was fun, good to catch up with some of the other guests. Underground car park was cheap and very convenient, they did suggest you can park for free round the back of the hotel but it didn't look somewhere I'd want to leave the car.

The location of the Hotel couldn’t have been better. It is in the heart of Banff mainstreet. The rooms are nice, a little hot but there were fans and we could open the window. We even got a free parking space that was underground and super safe.
