Recently spruced up 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat in the heart of trendy yet upmarket Chelsea. It is a well-loved home, newly repainted, decorated with bits and bobs that I've collected from around the world. Hanging on the walls are beautiful works by a local artist, Natasha de Samarkandi. At one end of the road is one of London's most famous streets, The King's Road, with its shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas. At the other end is the Embankment of the River Thames, and gorgeous Albert Bridge. Cross this bridge and you find Battersea Park, one of the city's finest. No matter your interests, you'll never be pushed to find something to do within a stone's throw. Chelsea has been my home for the last 17 years. It is a leafy district within the busy capital, and has everything you could possibly need within minutes. Safe and cool with a fascinating history, you'll love wandering around the little streets reading the plaques on houses commemorating famous artists and authors that lived there at one point in time. There are plenty of traditional English pubs around, including one right across the street from the flat, the Phene Arms, that has a lovely beer garden and is often seen on the television programme 'Made in Chelsea'. Sloane Square and South Kensington tube stations are within a 10 minute walk. There are also lots of bus stops within a 5 minute walk. Across the street you will also find a 'Boris Bike' cycle hire station - really useful for tourists.
