Amed Wall
Stretching down almost 100 feet, this tree-like coral shelf lies in the middle of a beautiful garden of gorgonians. It’s in these plants that the rare pygmy seahorse makes its home – so Amed Wall is your best shot of catching a glimpse. Reef sharks and sea turtles also roam these waters, so there’s no shortage of deep-sea wonders to check out.

This was my second time visiting Edinburgh Castle.
This was my second time visiting Edinburgh Castle. The first time I did an audio tour and this time signed up for a guided tour. Both work, but the tour lead by a guide was really great, though more expensive.

During our visit, there was an event happening close to the castle. The infrastructure took them more that two weeks to disassemble so the main route to the castle was blocked during our entire visit and it wasn't possible to see the main entrance. Moreover, many locals told us the trip inside they castle is a bit overhyped.

The castle is amazing however the walk up to it is very steep and even when you are in the castle there are lots of steps so it is not really a good place to visit for those who are not fit or are disabled. As it is so high up it can be very windy and getting around it in the rain is no fun. We did enjoy our visit even though we were limited as to which parts of the castle had esay access. The views are amazing from the castle.

Health not great so got a taxi which was as cheap as chips, to drive to the Castle. Fabulous Castle & Fantastic museum within Castle and staff so enthusiastic to give us more detail on exhibits. The Bagpiper outside was brilliant and although looked down to try to see what I was doing, didn't relise I'd placed a tiny travelling gnome by his shoe - husband not impressed! I got the photo though!

An absolute must see!
An absolute must see! One of the most spectacular castles, but go early to avoid huge crowds. When you walk in go straight to the furthest point and make your way back to get better less crowded pictures.

This hotel is located close to the Royal Mile. You can explore Edinburgh Castle, the grass market, Arthur’sSeat, and more, all within walking distance. Breakfast is very good and available for a good amount of time in the morning. They also offer to store your luggage if needed before or following your check out time. Very helpful and nice.
Breakfast was fantastic and amazing setting looking onto Edinburgh castle. Location is excellent. All main tourist attractions an easy walk. Train station easy to get to and from.even with luggage. Eateries around on neighboring streets or hotel food itself was good.
Location is perfect to visit Edinburgh. Came in on a late train to Waverly Station and its a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Walking distance to Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and wonderful food and other sights.
Good location, easy access to public transportation restaurants, shops and all sights. Even though there is nowhere to store bags, they allow you to store them at their main office about 5 minutes walk away, because this is not a traditional hotel (no front desk etc), it’s part of a network of apartments run by Edinburgh Castle Apartments and Suites… that’s a bit hard to tell from the listing.
It is a very well located apartment, if you don't have problems with walking a little, it is very close to everything, in our case we went to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Princes Street on foot. The apartment is super comfortable, we were four people and up to eight can stay, which means that we were very comfortable.
Cozy, modern hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Very central hotel, everything at your doorstep apart from an off license shop which was around 10-15 min walk but meant we got to explore a little. Room was clean and fresh. Tv was massive! Bed super comfy, really no major complaints, would definitely stay again and so chuffed with the deal we got for booking in January!
Edinburgh castle was a 5 minute walk, close to all the major shops and Harry Potter themed shops. Loads of pubs and restaurants to choose from.
Very pleasant homely hotel right in the centre of Edinburgh. My room had a diagonal view of Edinburgh Castle which is lit up at night. Excellent breakfast.
This hotel was great! Directly across the street from the cute Grassmarket area, Victoria St. is right next to it, Edinburgh Castle is a 5 min walk although it is up 2-3 flights of stairs so be prepared for that lol! The hotel itself was clean, we felt really safe while staying there.
Excellent location -- in the heart of historic Edinburgh. Easy walk from the train station, and close to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Royal Mile, etc. No meals served in the hotel, but you did get a discount for meals at very good restaurant and pub just across the street. My room and private bath were quite nice, and very clean. I was able to send out my laundry in the morning and have it back that evening.
