Used The Lodge for overnight stay after evening arrival at Heathrow T5. It was a great choice . Paul was really helpful organising personal shuttle pick up. Next day the local bus stop was just outside , making easy journey back to T5 for onward journey . Really liked all the personal touches to make my stay a home from home . Room was spacious , comfortable and everything very clean . Paul made everything feel very welcoming . It had everything needed for an overnight stay . They will serve you a cooked breakfast in your room if you want one . Lots of thought has gone into making this not your average anonymous hotel room . Loved the plants in my room - someone has very green fingers ! The Lodge is full of character and set in a lovely cottage garden .

This would have been a perfectly pleasant stay however on arrival at 4pm my room had not been cleaned from the previous guest, although the reception did not know and gave me the key. Having spoken to the staff I went out returning at 7.45 to find the room had still not been done. Upstairs in the hotel was untidy and disorganised making me question the hotel’s cleanliness

The location was great, the staff were polite, the breakfast was ok, the towels and bed sheets were brilliant white and a lot of effort must have been invested in trying to ensure the place was clean

The fabric of the building was in an embarrassingly bad condition. The owners should be ashamed at letting such an iconic building in Thames get into such a state of disrepair. This made the facilities feeling dirty, cheap and unloved.

I had forgotten to pack my charger on check out and had left it in my room. I had checked out at 8am and called at 2pm to ask about the charger. Reception (a lady on the phone) mentioned they would give a call back. but did not. I had to go back to the hotel, yet they still could not find it. In other words,someone stolen my charger. Its a small thing to some but a big thing to a traveller and in such a short span of time the hotel staff decided to steal it instead of waiting at least 24 hours for a guest to claim it.

Wasn’t very accessible. My friends had disabilities and they found it hard to navigate the steep stairs. Also a comfier bed and nice pillows would have made things better
