This motel is a hidden gem! I drive across Kansas and eastern Colorado at least twice a year, and I would stay here again any time I need to split my drive across two days. Over the years, I’ve stayed in many hotels just off I-70. The Best Inn is well worth driving the extra 5 minutes after exiting the highway. Such friendly staff and well-kept, modern rooms made this motel the best place to stay.

The proximity to the beach and boardwalk is great. Having a pool is great because we were there after Hurricane Erin so the beaches were closed for swimming. We had four kids with us so it would've been challenging to find things to do with them for three days if there was no pool.

We've been coming to the Hershey Motel for about 5 years and I don't think they've ever had new comforters. That being said, we basically sleep and shower in our rooms so we don't expect the Ritz. Despite that, the rooms are always clean.

The AC unit was noisy. The bed metal frame made a sound when you moved. The toilet was low to the floor and cramped. The floors left the bottoms of your feet black.
