My family and I were impressed by how clean and spacious the retreat was. We loved the scenery. The kitchen didn't fall short of any supplies or utensils/cookware. Bathrooms were fully stocked and the washer and dryer were very easy to use. Gaining access to the front door was very easy.

My family and I didn't like that we weren't warned about the road onto the mountain to get to the retreat. For us city folks it seemed very dangerous, a narrow dirt road climbing upwards on a mountain in a minivan. We knew that we needed to be in the retreat before sunset or we would be in for some severe danger. My cousin thought that the television on the second floor should have been controlled by one remote. The mattress was way too soft causing some back pain and daytime tiredness.

The TV was broken, but the front desk was able to get it working. The toilet would not flush well. Even with nothing in it but a little toilet paper. Also didn't like that the breakfast only available until 9:00AM.

Noisey hard floor and surfaces amplifified room noises above and around the room. No breakfast offering, if I was new to the area I'd like to have something at the hotel before touring the area, especially first thing in the morning. Having dishes and cooking utensiles probably see little use, no one I know would make coffee in a room from packets.

The staff member at the front desk when we checked in didn’t seem to want to be there. We weren’t told that they were doing reconstruction on the floor above of us prior to checking in. We found out from a sign posted in the elevator. The elevator was old and made a lot of noise. Once we got to our floor, there was a really bad stench and carpet was absolutely filthy. When we entered into our room there was a stench as well. The bed didn’t seem stable and it wasn’t comfortable. Construction was going on right above our room. They started working at 8am in the dot on a Saturday morning.
