Staff (front desk, maids, food service, maintenance) were very efficient and friendly. Shuttle bus from/to airport was great. Breakfast options were good. Fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juices, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, waffles, bread/muffins. Bed was comfortable. Lots of outlets (not all of them worked, however). Window had two blinds - one a blackout blind. Internet had a special promo code for free access - this may not always be the case as they posted rates for WIFI. Shuttle drivers were friendly and informative.

The toilet was much lower than normal. The water level is much closer to your body interfering with wiping (tissue got wet) and a disturbing dip upon sitting down for the well endowed. Their cardless system checked me out at breakfast and I needed to get it reset - an annoyance. I found the pillows very uncomfortable. Small fiber filled pillows. With 4 pillows maybe they could have provided some variability.

Microwave and large mini fridge in the room. Nice pillows that were just the right amount of firmness. Great location near movies, shopping, fast food. You can definitely tell that they have upgraded features to the rooms.

Our room was not very clean. Our dog spent the entire time she was awake finding stuff to eat in the carpets and along the baseboards. It made me look closely and see that the carpets and sofa were really grubby. It really needs a deep clean.

Beautiful hotel; central downtown; 5 min walk to boat terminals at either end of town; very comfortable beds/fun and interesting rooms; quiet despite it’s central location; fantastic and fun history that is played up by the decor; great/unique library and amenities; staff was wonderful - would absolutely stay there again
