A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organizations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world-class. Don't miss the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

There different transportation means available. However, I enjoyed the bus transportation during my trip.
Glasgow people are friendly and helpful.
Those who like shopping will find it easy to get whatever they want in the several shopping centers there. I liked mostly all types of female cosmetic's that were also with reasonable prices.
I loved visiting George Square area especially as of the great weather at this time of the year, April. You can also plan your meetings with you family members or friends there and enjoy your time.

The area around the hotel in particular is very enjoyable and interesting, with Kelvingrove Park, The Kelvingrove Museum, and the Botanical Gardens all being close. The Kelvingrove / Finnieston area is a bit more relaxed and laid-back than the city centre but it has a lot of really nice pubs, bars, cafes, and restaurants too. Public transport to the centre and to other parts of Glasgow is good.

Glasgow has some local attractions but they could be promoted better. Nice botanical gardens. the west of Glasgow is a nice part to visit.
Motorway systems are confusing.
Satnav essential and be on your toes.
As a solo traveller, from arrival, I was made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff and was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the rooms. The location is spot-on for anyone looking to explore the fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes in Finnieston, and just a ten-minute walk to both the West End and the city centre. The hotel's bar/restaurant was well managed and had fantastic live music, a bonus and a new music venue for Glasgow's talented musicians. I will definitely stay again. Thanks again, Robin and team!
Young men at reception had bad attitude. One told us they were a budget hotel and couldn't give us a wake up call for our early morning flight being our American phones weren't working properly in Scotland. The ladies in the morning were so helpful. We just thought the young men in the early evening may discrimate against elderly Americans. Possibly just elderly or just Americans. The rest was very nice. Won't go back there again when in Glasgow. I'll try the Radisson across the street.
How friendly and helpful the staff where and also how clean the hotel was . The restaurant too was fab good value for money had the fish and chips it was nice and fresh they also do a great breakfast what was buffy style with a big selection too chose from and you can have as much as you like . Had a great night's sleep beds where very comfy .it's a great city centre location just a few minutes walk too buccanon bus station .
Absolute rubbish. They charge the same price for a room in Glasgow City Centre as other hotels but don't offer the same facilities! No kettle, cups, nothing. Bathroom same size as an aeroplane toilet. Small window at best. Room so small with no room to move. Yes if it was value for money I'd accept nowhere they're charging the same price as better hotels in Glasgow! It'll be the last time I book one of their hotels.
Good view of the river, the bar is nicely placed on the riverside. Good bar and attentive staff. We came in from the airport via the airport express bus and was easily able to walk along the river from the Glasgow city centre. There are also bus services to the hotel so without the need of a car it's fairly easy to get too, comfortable rooms, although they ran a little hot.
This was our second stay at Yotel and, thankfully, this time our shower door didn't open straight into our room! Dignity intact! Whether this was based on our last review or not, we were given a much larger room, with two separate sections. The hotel is located perfectly in city centre Glasgow and the Vega bar is great.
Perfect city centre location right next to central station, rooms were small however had everything you could need. The hotel was spotless and everything ran seemlessly, check in and check out was done electronically which was straightforward. Excellent value for money, would definitely return.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Acorn Hotel in Glasgow. The room and the rest of the hotel were absolutely spotless. It’s only about a 25 min walk to the city centre which was very convenient. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There’s also great park right across the street to relax in.
Hotel is extremely well located if you are visiting Glasgow and want to be in the city centre. Especially good if you are attending concerts in the city. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff very friendly. Room well appointed. Value for money.
Great location in the city centre! Car park across the street (cheap for hotel guests). Laundry service. Great staff. Good breakfast. I've been there for the 3rd time, and I'll always book my room(s) there whenever I'm in Glasgow.
Great location to Merchant city and to Glasgow city centre itself giving you full access to everything by foot. Clean, warm hotel with decent shower and staff were exceptionally helpful. There is a car park onsite to the rear.
I always stay in this hotel when I travel to Glasgow as I travel by train and the Central Station is across the road from the hotel , and you are based in the city centre for all the amenities, also the price is reasonable
Standard good Holiday Inn Express service. Location was good. Large open parking area just across the hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and finely equipped. It was a good base for a small glasgow visit and exploration.
Location to city centre and a concert I attended at City Hall. Staff was so friendly and helpful, really made me feel welcome in Glasgow and took care of us. The towel warmers were lovely!
I’ve stayed here a couple of times before. it’s fairly basic but great value for a city centre hotel and the staff are really cheerful.
you also get a great discount at a local NCP car park
Amazing hotel, very cool linking the old building to the new & the bar area is amazing. Nice atmosphere, great location for city centre & all round a mega trip to Glasgow!
A nice hotel and well worth the savings compared to the city centre hotel prices. A very short walk to Crosshill station and a cheap, quick journey into Glasgow Central.
