Wonderfully unique place to stay, but not for everyone. Bathroom was private, but across the hall. All super clean and everyone was very friendly. The building is wonderful with its old wood accents. Breakfast in the great room was plenty, but it is what you make of it as it is self service. There were books, games and guitars for everyone to enjoy. Great view of downtown across the Monongahela and short drive to the incline, Station Square and downtown.

Neighborhood had quite a few boarded up or empty places, but revitalization is also evident. AC was turned too low for our taste, but that's personal preference.

The location couldn't be better! Within walking distance to the everything we wanted to do. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! The staff was friendly and helpful! And the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Lots of spiders and I got bitten. The portable swamp coolers did not begin to be able to cool the house but it was exceptionally warm weather. Plumbing in bathroom acted up some.

This was supposed to be a non-smoking property but we experienced the next room occupants smoked flavored cigars non-stop all day and night. I asked them to stop since their sickening smoke drafted down wind onto our balcony and room. I brought the issue to the front desk woman onbthe 2nd morning and even offered a photo of their overflowing ashtray on their balcony. She quickly dismissed my issue and barked at me that I should have called down to complain. We left after two out of three prepaid nights and were refused any reimbursement for the last day since it was a third party prepay from Bookings. We left and forfeited the third day then swore never to return to the Nautilus Hotel. It was our anniversary get away which was ruined by our Nautilus stay.

The front desk lady was very unpleasant. I also had to pay a $50 cash deposit, which I was charged $10 for a face towel. They said it was damaged, the only thing I used if for was to dry my face.
