  So many positives! The host family is lovely and helpful, and Lori created masterful breakfasts. The interior is stunning with period architecture and gorgeous stained glass panels. The room was cozy, just enough room for 2. Drawbacks included Booking.com promising included breakfasts as Genius+ (which was a lie), but the meals were worth the extra amount. The exterior needs sprucing up, though we were assured the constant rain since the beginning of May has delayed the exterior upkeep. A very pleasant stay, and we would stay at Emig Mansion again!

  We actually stayed on a renovated 5th floor. It was real nice with a big walk in shower. Beds were comfortable and had a large TV. Breakfast was more than ample with a lot of breakfast items to choose from.

  Coffee was not hot enough for me. Could be that the hotel could only have it at a certain degree so guests didn’t get burned. I really don’t know if that was the case. I do like my coffee hot.

  My bedroom at night was so bright because of light outside. Plus the doors were squeaking every time we open or close the doors from bathroom and room. Then we can hear our neighbors making all this noise from doors, coughing etc.

  There were heating and plumbing issues. The manager worked to fix the issue and was very accommodating. It was not neglect of the building, the city was working on water lines that impacted every business on the street.
