- “The beds were soooo comfortable, and they were real beds not bunk beds, the roof was very high, and the sleeping room was clean, for the showers the water was hot,and they were cleaned regularily, and the socialising room looked like a phenomenal pinterest room for me, it has a variety of beautiful collected stuff, woody furniture everywhere, and beautiful peranakan tiles and design, booklets about penang and a collection of books, and a piano, a working one. I enjoyed staying in the socialising room, to the point that I started thinking that I should buy a house similar to that and settle there, The owner was so kind and helpful, and he came regularly to clean the house, and the location of the hostel was perfect close to anything you may ever need. I just loved this house, it felt like a real warm home, not a mere hostel, and I met lots of sweet girls there, what a wonderful experience! I wish there were more only females hostels like this one in every city.”

  It was very comfortable and so much like home. Loved the decore and the availability to have dishes and cooking items if needed. Wasn't a big fan of the streaming services on the TV and it was super difficult to log into one of my accounts. It would have been nice to have a TV upstairs as well. The bathtub is very, very deep and the side was very tall to get your leg over and step into the shower. It was difficult to get in and out of just to shower. A couple of handrails in the tub would have made it much safer for those of us over 55 years of age.

  Love it all and always stay here when in town. This visit we had dinner at their restaurant for the first time and it was delicious and we sat outside and listened to an amazing singer/guitarist. One great song after the other. We enjoyed ourselves and family company and definitely will be back again!

  Place was under renovation doors locked at night had to find an entrance , no services available or staff till 7am. Cockroaches in room. TV not working upon arrival Breakfast poor nothing left at 8 45 advertised till 10 am Staff notified, nothing brought to Breakfast area. Total Bust Nevet Again.

  Owner and staff were very accommodating to add us an extra night. Location in town was ideal!!! Very nice place. Rooms were totally updated and had all accommodations for us. Back patio/deck area was beautiful.

  I'm not sure but I think that I was given a room that I've been neglected as far as any kind of remodels or anything like that so it wasn't the most up-to-date but it wasn't dirty either. And there were a lot of ants in my room.

  I arrived after 11pm and no one was waiting before me yet the receptionist was on the phone probably with the boyfriend and she took her sweet time to acknowledge us, but once more people arrived then hung up her phone call. Waited over 15 minutes just waiting to get acknowledged. Checked out this morning and it was the same lady, for some reason it took her more time for her to assist my husband to check out till my husband had to call me over to get checked out. Very poor customer service.

  So the lobby it's spacious. Checking in you have to put up a deposit which was okay. Afterwards, I asked for a receipt. Manager on duty stated they don't give receipts for deposits. Sooo I was like yeah I'm going to need a receipt because I want my money back after check out. After I got all of my paperwork I then headed to my room. The door was hard to open, you had to actually push the door with your hips and the door didn't shut behind me. I looked around and a BIG as ROACH ON THE DRAPES AND THEN saw A ROACH CRAWLING BY THE REFRIGERATOR. So yeah, the hotel needs a lot of upgrades because the hot tub didn't work at all!!! Furthermore, the maintenance on staff was chilling with the guests at the pool and was drunk. Very professional... right..🤦🏻
