The location is perfect entrance to the boardwalk is right there and if you like the beach it’s literally right there. Staff is very friendly there is one young lady who checked us in and we seen a couple nights we came back from our adventures she was always so kind and even gave my son a frisbee. It’s the little things that make impressions especially with the kids. House keeping came every morning to see if we needed anything which we didn’t. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the view in the mornings were amazing. We only had one issue was when we arrived we went to check the view out and the neighbors were smoking on the balcony so we quickly took our child in cause it was the illegal substances that kids don’t need to breathe in. All around we have stayed at this location 2 times and the condos across the street 1 time and we will continue to choose Americana Motor Inn as the hotel we stay at in the future.

Parking we’ve been here multiple times and we already brace ourselves for the parking situation. If you move you will loose your spot and parking is limited. But again you have the boardwalk right there the only issue would be food wise.

I loved the location. It was about a 10-15 drive to downtown Detroit (depending on traffic) and was in a quiet neighborhood. There were restaurants and a few small local businesses just up the street. The set-up was just nice and just enough room for us.

We did not stay there that evening as the door did not lock and it was a motel with a room right to the parking lot therefore I cannot say that there was anything I liked about it

The door did not lock at all. You could just push it open. The air conditioning wasn’t working well. It was very warm in the room. I called the manager/owner and they said they would refund our money through Booking.com. I am not sure how that works but I’m looking forward to being refunded.

Hotel beds were hard and old. The AC was broken and kept cooling, we would set it for 68 degrees and we would wake up freezing at 51 degrees. We turned on the bathroom tub drain and red rusty water came out for a few minutes. Terrible experience. The staff at the front desk was also very unfriendly.

Interior is atrocious. Blood stains on bedding, etc. rug very worn and stained. Blinds on all levels were half missing. This unit looks like it has received NO care or maintenance for a decade. Very disappointing.

The rooms were ok. Liked the covered deck. Could have used more seating though…only one picnic table was not enough. We had 22 people in our group and would have been a nice place to gather to chat in the evening.

I did not like to pay to park in the garage after I had already paid to stay and having said that I would not stay again for this reason. Too many nice hotels in MB that do not charge a fee to park at their hotel. I booked through booking.com and did not see the fee charge so was surprised to pay an additional $66 ($11/day). When I questioned that I didn’t have that information in my confirmation and the clerk “said yeah, they bury that information”! I went back and looked at your website and it does say $10/day not $11. Refrigerator didn’t cool until like 3rd day. The hot plate only one burner worked. There were 22 of us that stayed during the week. Two of those rooms the refrigerator didn’t cool at all and they lost food. One room the stove didn’t work and they specifically rented the room so they could cook to save $$ with their little family.
