Room was lovely, very clean, and super comfortable. Great bed, great bathroom/shower, fabulous breakfasts. Would consider myself fortunate to plan another trip to New Bern and book this room again. Perfectly good for a person with some mobility issues (note—I think a few stairs are at both entrances), although I’d prefer a slightly higher toilet. But that’s a pretty small issue in the face of a lovely, wonderful stay with great coffee and lovely, delicious breakfasts, not to mention warm and helpful hosts.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were there for a basketball tournament and the location was great- close to everything we needed:) We will definitely stay here again!

There are some improvements that need to be made and/or fixed: master bath has a leak under the shower; ceiling in living room will need repaired due to the water leak; lots of cosmetic repairs need addressed as well

Hotel had to change my room twice before I could feel comfortable to stay in. Both rooms that was assigned smelt so bad it was unbearable . I was told they had no more rooms available. I went on Booking.com to reserve a lake view room for an unchanged. I canceled the other one.

The room smelled like a cigarette! My clothes and everything I brought in smelled like smoke. When we arrived the lady at the front desk was talking to her friend being very rude with any help. There were multiple people all around late at night very loud by the room. Talking loud and smoking marijuana. When we went to get ice there was a note telling us to use gloves that didn’t fit. The whole machine was apart, they left gloves to reach in the machine, but it was very impossible. This was very gross. When we were walking back to our room, there were two young girls trying to get in through the window in another room. I’ve never smelled such an awful room with the dirtiest floor. The sheets stunk I felt there were bed bugs I was itching all night. I wouldn’t even give this a 1 star. We only stayed 4 hours. I would like a full refund from Booking.com. They said the place was a 7.3, that’s a Big Joke. Never Ever Again!!
