The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The closeness to our destination spot and the fact that I’ve booked this hotel multiple times throughout the years through booking.com with no difficulties and always had good experiences except this time.

I was greeted with attitude right off the bat and possibly prejudice by the concierge or “front desk clerk.” Who tried to “bait and switch me.” I booked for the exact amount of people intended, even added every child’s age on booking.com. And I opted for the “recommended” booking listed by booking.com to accommodate my group. Never once did booking.com note that there was not enough space for my group with the room I booked. I’ve also booked this room in the past and know exactly now many people will fit. Even on the booking itself has a Q&A of “where will my children sleep?” And it states “on the beds provided”. So I booked that room. We get to the hotel and now this clerk is asking me how many guests are there. I tell him exactly the same as my booking. He says, “I’m going to have to charge you for another room or else I’ll charge you for another person. I don’t think you can fit everyone in that room comfortably, where will you all sleep?” I told him, I booked the room that was recommended and it was stated that the room will accommodate my group as listed. He gives me more attitude and was rude the whole time. He gives me my keycard. I go up to the room. It’s actually one that I’ve booked in the past. It was a standard room from what I remember and I booked a deluxe with the chaise which is also shown in my booking photos for the selected room. I go back and asked him if he gave me a standard instead of a deluxe room as I had booked. He claims it’s a deluxe and not all deluxe rooms have chaises as I had assumed and then states that they are changing their bookings and getting rid of the chaises. (We walked by several rooms with chaises that were being cleaned.) I told him about my past bookings and described the deluxe and standard rooms in detailed that I’ve booked and he kept telling me that it’s my issue with booking.com and not with the hotel and that next time I need to know that the room only accommodates a certain number of people.

Great BnB, beautiful old house. Bedroom and bathroom were really large and comfortable. Breakfast was also great, with lots of options, and the homemade quiches sooo delicious.

The hotel staff called me around 7PM to confirm what my arrival time would be
Negative section of review
I arrived around 11:45PM and was told that there were no rooms available for us despite hotel staff calling us earlier in the evening (arouns 7pm) to confirm the arrival time. According to the staff working, another person had pre-paid, which apparently put their booking ahead of ours. If we had been informed of this when the staff called us, we would have paid immediately. The staff member working took no accountability, even though she could have easily called me again to inform me that it had been overbooked, especially considering someone had called me earlier in the day to confirm. The manager never called me back after my complaints, but instead tried to pass the blame off as technical errors. The reality is, if the staff member working the evening had actually called us when they realized the hotel was overbooked, I would have had enough time to book another room somewhere else. Safe yourself the hassle and book somewhere else.
