Did not have breakfast, although fresh coffee/tea is always a bonus. Clean room, mini-kitchen and view of the parking lot. Many other Berkeley graduation guests stayed as well during that busy time.

The mall across the road is mostly abandoned except for the gym and it gives the area a creepy feel. There is a newer, livelier, outdoor shopping area further down the road.

It seemed like it might be a little unsafe at night after dark because I did notice that there were some homeless people nearby. And although the train did not bother me, it did bother some others in our party because the train was so close and loud in the middle of the night. We did not need to use the microwave however we did find it odd that the microwave was shared in the hallway between hotel room rooms. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Some of the staff acted as if you were putting them out by asking a question. Beds were hard and sheets horrible. They felt like they were nylon. Bathroom light had an auto motion detector turn on so in middle of night light blasts on waking everyone in the room. Laundry room was closed due to repairs, ice makers broke so had to go to lobby to get ice, spa was closed for renovations etc. didn't even try the restaurant because we were afraid to after reading the reviews.
