Location is great. Close to Estes but you feel you're in the country. Lots of wildlife- elk, wild turkeys, birds in little birdhouses near porch. Views are great, though the short driveway means you're staring at your car out of the otherwise lovely dining room window.

No closet to hang clothes in bedroom with bigger bed (where a couple will likely sleep if they have kids with them). Large bed also wobbled considerably, knocking into adjacent nightstands and making a thumping racket that could be heard in the next bedroom as well. Nightstands were backwards, with the rough edge outward, so I turned them around. Entrance to bathroom is incredibly low and whacked my head several times. Needs to have bright tape across top entryway and/or sign to watch head as you approach. 5' 10" and taller will whack head if not ducking (remember, people will often look down as they walk around new spaces, thus setting up the head smack). Heating was challenging. To heat the main floor meant boiling yourself in the bedrooms. Had to turn heat off well prior to going to bed to get upstairs back to normal. Then main floor was very cold in the morning. Maybe fans could help?? Ceiling in bedroom with large bed needs to be finished. You feel like you're sleeping in a storage shed as it is now. Having both Booking.com and Vacasa involved in getting the room makes the administrative work duplicative, confusing, and twice as hard as it should be. Streamline this somehow.

We had to pay $22 for parking, Interrupted twice by rude housekeeping staff in the morning knocking on our room door and asking us to leave at 10am & 11am regardless of our late checkout request for 12:30pm. Wet carpet adjacent to the bathroom, outdated room with malfunctioning furniture and phone. Missed our free breakfast because it ended at 9am.

The room was a good size with comfortable sleeping arrangements. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was amazing. Seeing the ocean from our balcony was so serene. The breakfast spread was pretty good and the staff in the breakfast room were particularly helpful with my children and very patient.

My only complaint is that when housekeeping came through they took the bar soap we were using and the washcloths and didn't replace them. They gave us towels but no washcloths.
