Orange Beach, Alabama

We enjoyed our stay at this condo overall. The unit was clean and offered a great view with easy access to both the beach and the pool, which we really appreciated. The pools and spas on the property were extremely clean and well maintained, making for a relaxing experience. The building itself is older but appears well kept, and the location and amenities were definitely highlights of our stay.

There were a few minor issues inside the condo that detracted from our experience. The garbage disposal didn’t work, the sink nozzle was loose and a bit flimsy, and there were no pot holders available, which made cooking a bit inconvenient. The guest bedroom shower was clogged and wouldn’t drain properly, and overall water pressure was quite low. The master bed was very uncomfortable — extremely soft and quite worn down. We stayed at a motel on our way there and found their bed to be more comfortable. The biggest downside was the noise from the neighbors above. The walls seem very thin, and we could hear pretty much everything they did: using the restroom, walking, opening sliding doors, moving chairs—really all their activity. This noise kept us awake throughout the night and woke us very early in the morning, which was quite disruptive.

The home was very spacious with room for everyone. The price was very good (my guess is because the house needs some work). Good amount of plates, bowls, flatware, and glasses for the group. .

The cleanliness of the home was not that bad but could use a thorough cleaning, especially the baseboards and doors. Front yard needed mulch. The front door area needed sweeping. Vent just as you enter rusted (poor first impression). Microwave shut down after 2-3 uses. You wait for about 15 minutes, then it comes back on. Lost power in portions of the kitchen. Had to move the toaster to the other side of the kitchen counter. Oven didn't work properly, took 3 hours yo bake chicken. We soon found out a portion of the heating element was broken. Seems most appliances came from a dent and scratch store. Insufficient large pots and pans for cooking for large groups ( the house sleeps 14), just 1 stock pot, so it burns easily. The game room needs replacement games. Children spent no time there. Bedding in some of the rooms faded needs replacing. Some family members said that their mattress needed replacing as they were sinking in spots. The hair dryer in master bedroom was broken Some lamp shades need replacing, met one on the nightstand, looked like It had been glued, but the glue didn't hold. Almost all toilet seats need replacing. Carpet dirty, back patio ceiling plaster falling off. Washer lid rusted and dryer does not stop when put on a timer. You must stop it manually. Patio door needed cleaning. Mold on pool patio floor, cushions, and frame of pool screening. Needs to powerwash. TV remote control needs replacing, not very responsive. We purchased batteries, then realized it was the remote. Large spacious home but could use some TLC.

5 miles on a gravel road to access. Focal photo of Adirondack chairs on the lake were only accessible down six flights of washed out steps. Slightly dangerous.
