I had booked my room ahead of time, I was short of money because of my dog. They were going to charge me $25. I said I will take him to my friends house, she said I already know you have a dog. I asked for a refund she said no. You pay the $25 or your going to have to leave, and she was going to move us to the third floor because of a dog. I don't do steps very well. I would at least get my money back or you won't ever see me at this motel again. I will tell everyone not to go to Super 8 at all.

The location was awesome. If you've been in Manhattan before, you know this is a place from where most of the city is either in walking or in subway distance. I really liked the room overall and the staff were really helpful in helping me solving various little problems. The restaurant is the typical hotel restaurant but worth checking it out for one or more times, as they serve good quality and tasty food. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel for your visits in NYC.

While the room was nice overall, there were some minor annoyances, like all of the bathroom products were from L'Occitane (high quality) but all from the very drying type (verveine). It felt like the conditioner was mixed with water as it was very liquidy. Also, the sofa in the room could use a renovation both in the fabric and in deep cleaning its pillows.

We loved how close it was to the park entrance. We got up very early to catch the sunrise and reflection of Rainier and it wasn’t a long drive to reach it. The cherries on the property were ripe and we were told to enjoy them. We did! The place was plenty big for the five of us and our suitcases.

The Gen Z check-in boy was condescending and sarcastic; the room smelled of mold; the carpet was soaking wet next to the refrigerator; one of the bedside lamps was broken; the housekeeping staff didn’t bother to come and clean the room, make the bed or provide fresh towels; the overall condition of the hotel was of a tired, 1990’s-era motel with cheap fittings, but one that was pretending to be a chic, hip “concept” lodging. But it’s cheap and easy to hang a bunch of chile pepper ristras here and there; harder to actually hire staff that gives a damn about customers or to update the old and dilapidated rooms. Do yourself a favor: don’t stay here.
