We have stayed at this location several times and its sister resort the Hyatt Lodge, always exceptional experience when we’re there. Great staff, we enjoy the complementary breakfast along with complementary coffee. Very great touch.

Parking is confusing, and there 2 swimming pools outside was small but ok, inside was to small and looked terrible.and coffee should be available longer through the day? I know it sounds petty, but my opinion.

I seldom write poor reviews, yet the experience my family and I had with Holiday Inn Express – South Haven by IHG demands immediate and emphatic caution to potential guests. After booking a room for over $600 for one night, and specifically confirming details via a phone call two days prior—including assurances that the hotel provided a cot or rollout for my child—we received an unexpected call from the manager just one hour before our scheduled arrival. The manager informed us they had oversold the hotel and no longer had a room available—nor did they have a policy of providing cots. When I voiced my legitimate intent to post a negative review, the manager responded by aggressively stating, "I'm canceling you," and abruptly disconnected the call. This raised the perplexing question—if the hotel had already overbooked, what precisely was she "canceling"? Subsequent attempts to obtain clarity and the manager's identity were met with obstruction, evasiveness, and blatant disregard for basic customer service standards. Staff repeatedly hung up, refused to answer our calls, and an associate cryptically identified himself only as "Agent 1." Eventually, after multiple calls, the original manager picked up again and astonishingly threatened to call 911 and "trespass" us—even though we had explicitly clarified we had no intention of arriving given their previous admission of no available rooms. We have thoroughly documented the entire ordeal via audio recordings. Any misrepresentation or defamatory statement the management may choose to propagate will be promptly forwarded to our legal counsel for potential litigation. In over three decades of frequent travel and booking through platforms such as Booking.com—which unfortunately offered little support in this fiasco—I have never encountered such flagrant incompetence, unprofessionalism, or aggressive behavior from hospitality management. Proceed with caution.

Motel 6 needs to do a better job! The carpet in the hallways was nasty, the whole place reeked of POT! If you’re going to allow trash to stay at your place, you’ll have to do a better job cleaning up after them. Pathetic!

There was little bit of dust around windows and couch middle section was bent along with some buublegum stuck in the back, so we were not able to sit together. But overall everything was good.
