So this is a great place to stay - as long as you don't need to be physically at the airport. I had a 24h layover, so it was perfect. As described, the hotel is embedded within a local shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and other retailers. Perfect for an afternoon / evening stroll. Pickup from Dulles is easy, it's probably a 15 minute drive to the hotel. But I really want to highlight the friendliness of the people who work at the hotel. They are perfect. Clearly a lot of effort has gone into selecting the right people, and then making sure they are well trained and happy. It really shines through. The room was super spacious, had everything I wanted and then some. But for me, again, it really was the people. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in staying again.

The Casablanca is a wonderful boutique motel located a stone’s throw away from downtown Clemente. The staff from check-in, to the woman who oversaw the breakfast, to housekeeping, were ALL very friendly and approachable!

I liked the size of the room. It was very large. I liked the staff at the hotel. They were very nice and very welcoming and the online check-in was great because it saved time for when I got there to check in.

The only thing I didn’t like was the person staying in the room next to me was very obvious that they were using drugs in the room and that made me uncomfortable, but I don’t blame the motel

The facility was in ill repair. The carpet in our room was filthy. The free water for members, $3.00 for us, had an unidentifiable piece of possibly a raisin stuck to the side. Walls had patches which could have used some paint to cover them. When we left for dinner, we closed the door and the ceiling light above the door fell out of the ceiling missing my husband's head by inches. We had just driven 9 hours and really didn't feel like dealing with these kinds of problems. We reported these things to the front desk and were given a new room. Of course that meant moving our things and delaying dinner. The second room was not much better. The tub spout was coming out of the wall and only half the water came out of the shower. Half just ran out of the spout. This room also needed a major update. We also asked several employees and read online about free breakfast. No one could give us an answer. It was unclear if every paying guest would receive a free breakfast or if you needed to be a member. We skipped it, even though we feel "free" breakfast is included in the high price of the room. Parking lot is a disaster. What a joke to charge $10 for an unsecured lot full of potholes! In the morning we spoke to a very nice employee at the desk. We told her about our stay and she was very sympathetic. She didn't see any note about the light hanging from a wire above the door in our first room. Wondering if anyone went up to fix that. Dangerous. The desk clerk asked what she could do to make up for our disappointing stay and promised to make things right. We have since received a discount for our stay. We appreciate the Double Tree following through and making an adjustment. The property needs some real improvement. The price for our room was higher than any other on our trip and definitely the worst. You need to spend some money on that property. It takes money to make money. I can't imagine anyone being a repeat guest.
