The breakfast was outstanding. A little different everyday but always a lot of fresh fruit, breads, eggs, meat, coffee was good for a hotel. The staff was superb- from the front desk to the room cleaning staff to the breakfast staff.

Breakfast was SAD: Standard American Diet (loaded with sugar and ultra-processed carbs). Wingate could serve healthier food...and cut costs. The breakfast was a major disappointment.

The shower had duck tape holding it together, we booked the place because it had two full bathrooms but we couldn’t use the second one after the first day because the shower was leaking horribly from the tape which then lead to mold growing on the carpet! Called the lobby 3 times and went down personally to talk to someone multiple times about someone coming to fix it and no one ever came. It’s completely unacceptable to have that much mold in the room and them not do anything about it! It’s unsafe and then at check out I couldn’t even talk to a manager because they weren’t there! There was also ants in and around every sink, the front porch is falling apart, the wood is super old and dry rotted.

The noise level. My room #219 was right outside the elevator, the pool area, laundy area and faced the street side. I was able to hear the other guest when they came in and out the elevator, kids screaming in and out of the pool area. The cars honking, sirens. One of the nights i had to call the front desk around 10:30 pm to report the guest upstairs from me. Not sure if they had an event or it was just kids but it sounded as if they were running across the room or jumping but there was so much noise from the ceiling. Front desk advise that they were going to send security and about 1 hr later it stoped but i my stay could have been better maybe if i was put in a different room
