location is great, directly on the boardwalk & close proximity to the inlet. the front porch is very nice and relaxing with rocker chairs and great views of the ocean. other guests staying there were hospitable and nice to chat with.

check in wasn't clear, we went to the property to find it open, but empty. we finally put 2 + 2 together to go to the next door property to check in. we were exceptionally early (10am) and our room had been rented the night before and needed servicing before we could check in. for a 7-8 room property (?) it took til 3pm to have our room freshened up. that seems a bit extreme, this isn't the Marriott with hundreds of rooms. wallpaper was peeling off the wall. the "charm" of an old home converted to hotel didn't win us over. from our room you could hear guests talking out in the common area. we were on the ground floor and could hear the guests with rooms above us walking around. this "type" of property just wasn't for us. the common area smelled musty and "closed up". our room, veranda, had the walk out doors to the porch. those doors need attention. beyond being rusty, they're not secure and do not lock properly. an "added benefit" was bicycles included with stay. there are 2 and they both had flat tires with no means to pump air in them.

great neighborhood location, we enjoyed being able to walk, access many sights by walking or a short car ride, it was a small and very cozy hotel. it was in a residential area, that felt safe and easy to access the local neighborhood.

I loved how clean the hotel room was...It was sparkling clean! I loved the price and the cleanliness and price were the most important factors.

The mattresses had significant sags in the middle of both matresses...It wasn't uncomfortable but I am not that fussy unless the mattress was hard, which it wasn't! The area is slightly sketch but I felt safe. My millenial daughter felt super unsafe...At 3 am there was a cocauphany of slamming doors...The motel doors are very solid heavy doors which slam loudly...My daughter said it kept her up...The flip security lock on the door did not work...
