  - “To say Vin Vin House was super accommodating from the booking stages is an understatement. They responded to all my inquiries in a timely manner, were easily contactable through WhatsApp, catered to my late arrival during the wee hours of the morning, made my bed every morning, cleaned and restocked the bathroom everyday, provided a towel and allowed me to keep some things in the fridge and use the family clothes line to dry the laundry I insisted to wash by hand. They have super affordable breakfast available to order the night before at the time you need (cheapest in the area and super yummy because it's home made!!) The location seemed far from the main road in Ubud on the map, but in fact it's a 2 minute motorcycle ride away (10 minute walk) - so super central. Yes, you share the dorm room with other travelers, but each bed has a curtain that blocks out all the light so you don't even realize the room lights are on if you're sleeping in the middle of the day. Each bed has an outlet to charge your electronics and a lamp if you wanted to stay up when everyone else was asleep. There is tones of space to keep your things; they provide decent sized lockers to keep your things - I never worried about strangers walking in off the street as someone is always home and there are two beautiful black labs that announce new arrivals. There is free wifi available:) Also the water refills are nearly half the price as the mini mark charges next door. I booked for 3 weeks to do a course and ended up booking another 3 weeks after, deciding to travel places with this location as my base rather than moving around. Coming back at the end of each day felt like coming home<3 During my time I met a lot of lovely travelers. The host family are really beautiful people and I believe that attracted the wonderful people I met during my stay there. Even the drivers I organized through the host family were equally as lovely. I'll be back soon:)”
