I liked that the staff was fairly friendly. There was a staff member in the hallway one day. I had asked him if he could get me a blanket for our bed and he did stop what he was doing right away and go get the blanket for us I also love the fact that it was an oceanfront room so the hotel was directly on the ocean or by the ocean.

I was not 100% happy with the room the picture showing what her room would look like was definitely not what we had walked into when we had checked in the day that we arrived. We checked in around 4 o’clock, which was check in time in our room was not ready there were also multiple other guests that were there to check in and there rooms were not ready as well. That was extremely frustrating since my husband and I traveled from Ohio driving 12 hours, so we had not been to bed yet. I also had started my menstrual cycle and was bleeding all over the place. Finally after almost 2 hours after we were supposed to check in I had gone up to the front desk in tears over the situation and was able to be moved into another room that was clean another thing that I was not happy about was the fact that we did not receive housekeeping service not once the entire four day four nights stay that we were there, we had to gather up our trash and throw our towels outside of our room and I had to continue to go down to the lobby on a day-to-day basis. Mainly in the evenings to get towels and things that were needed for my room. There was a huge puke stain in the hallway right before you got to our room, you could literally see the chunks of puke and it stayed there the entire four days that we were there. Also, the place did not look that clean. The hallways were dirty. The elevators had fingerprints all over them crumbs, and dirt all over on the inside of the elevators.

I loved the location. You really can walk to major stores and restaurants. And there were plenty to choose from. Breakfast was delicious, I love oatmeal for breakfast and the toppings were plentiful with many choices.

I'm not really a fan of the layout. I had a handicap room on the 4th floor. It was very quiet and this would probably be a great option if I were traveling with family. When I travel alone for work I'm looking for convenience. I'm not cooking, so even though there's no restaurant on site I appreciated the convenience of them. But I knew when I booked what I was getting. It is not a bad choice just not my favorite personally when traveling for work.

The pickup van at the airport took almost 40 minutes waiting at the kiosk- We did arrive late, but your competitors had made several rounds before we were picked up. We left two articles of clothing on a hanger in the closet in our room (726). We contacted the manager who informed us he was leaving and referred us to the assistant manager who responded that he had referred the matter to housekeeping. Two days later, we have heard nothing. A follow up email has not been responded to. Finally, as our flight had been delayed, the airline issued meal vouchers to us. The staff was not very well prepared for the necessary process to utilize them. This issue was resolved. Disappointing so far, but we are long time Marriott customers and will remain so. Bill Gisvold
