    - “My wife and I came to Villa Kaliente on our honeymoon, and we are in agreement that the property was probably the nicest place we've ever stayed. That said, we had a complicated stay in Nusa Penida, due to the fact that my wife sprained her ankle pretty severely the second we arrived to the island (stepping off the ferry dock onto dry land). When we got to the villa, we were completely dependent on the staff, because my wife couldn't get around. The staff (and especially the manager Putu) went above and beyond, helping us acquire crutches and an elastic bandage, as well as picking up every single meal for three days! We're very thankful for their help, which saved this leg of the trip. Unfortunately, we were basically confined to the villa for three days; fortunately, it was an incredibly comfortable place to be stuck! We stayed in the king suite on the upper floor, which has an amazing balcony, and the most shockingly high-quality interiors of any place we've been. Everything was beautiful and comfortable: the furniture, the shower, the bathtub, the bed, the built-in cabinetry. We wish we could live in this room!! My wife was on the couch icing her ankle most of the time, and it was the coziest couch imaginable. The fantastic view of Mount Agung from the pool / our balcony is something I will remember forever.”

      Beds were very comfortable and room had plenty of storage space. Breakfast choices were good and schedule for breakfast was good too. Location is near downtown, it's easy to get to hotel and downtown.

      Bathroom could be better if it had a towel rack, not just the small hooks behind bathroom door. The price per night is a bit high. There wasn't anything else I didn't like aside from that.

      I liked the text message feature asking how everything was in the room. The breakfast waffles were good, as I always look forward to the breakfast buffet.

      We arrived and were given keys that didn’t work for the room we were assigned to. My husband went downstairs and told the front desk they did not work, he programmed the key and my husband came back up to open the door to the room, when he opened the door we found people laying in bed! They were luckily only watching tv and we didn’t get very far into the room without apologizing profusely. We go back to the front and were given new keys for a different room. We arrive in the room and get ready for bed to hear the people above us were running and jumping. We allowed it for about an hour thinking it would calm down until I then contacted the front desk via text message to have them handle the loud upstairs guest. We went to sleep and at 2:45 in the morning we had a knock on the door. I answered the door to a woman saying “oh the room is occupied.” I shut the door on her as I needed to be awake in 3 hours and I was obviously confused. I lay back in bed and the phone rings. It is the front desk attendant. She asked for my last name and what time I checked in, because our name was not attached to the room. I completely understand things happen and from walking into someone else’s room the front desk did not “check” us into the room on the computer and simply gave us new keys. What I can not understand is why the new shift front desk decided to wake up customers to ask their name in a room. I had two sleeping children and my husband with me. I did not somehow break into the room to sleep, I had a key card. Which you should be able to see that a card was made for the room. Ask customers about room situations at a much better time than 2:45 in the morning.

      No kids friendly or kid zone, bedroom doesn’t have microwave and fridge, came with fridge-bar full of expensive stuff. The control TV didn’t work.

      The beds were comfortable.

      It seemed understaffed. The rooms weren't ready at check-in. Daytime staff weren't friendly. We had to go get our towels at bedtime. Breakfast was completely out at 7:30 and still hadn't been replenished at 8:30. The door barely latched, and I had to put all body weight on it to latch it.
