  The front desk staff at the Microtel Inn (who checked me in, because there was no desk at the Ramada) were extremely nice and accommodating.

  The first room I checked into smelled stale, there were two dead flies on the floor, and a fly flying around the room. It felt unclean and I went back to the front desk to change rooms. The second room did not feel clean either. There were also dead bugs on the floor, and grime along the sink counter. Most importantly, the smell from the cleaning supplies was so strong (pine sol?) it gave me a sore throat and headache. I conduct research in indoor air quality, and I would highly recommend using cleaners that are not so strongly scented / give off VOCs.

  The breakfast provided was quite nice, a generous selection of snacks and drinks. The location was central to almost everything in town.

  The room had a bit of a musty smell when we first arrived, but that became less noticeable fairly soon. In fact we didn’t notice it at all after a very short time. Everything was absolutely spotless, so it was just stale air perhaps

  They didn’t give us any wash clothes, I had to go to Ollie’s and buy some. I ask the staff for some when I saw the cleaning cart, she said no and laughed then walked off. Our room had a strange smell , not sure what it was- we’re thinking someone was burning incense.
