It had a traditional key to the room. The room had beams and cute comforters that gave it a rustic cabin feel. The room was spacious. We checked in later than intended, and the host recommended a better room without the kitchen. She saved us money. Also, they have resident cats. Who cannot love that?! The host was very helpful. She gave us all the information for the Avenue of Giants and how to see the creek and river by the resort. The towels were mint, soft and plush. They offered coffee in room and amenities for the shower. It was lovely!

Breakfast was okay. Nothing bad, not great. Loved the bar had good mocktail menu. Location was perfect. walked to Berkeley Rep, some good restaurants. Easy walk to campus.

There was no sign for privacy and they came into my room to not even clean but just to replace towels regardless of asking if they could go in when I wasn’t there! The next day I was there long enough to hear the hotel service knocked on my door I told them “I’m in here no service needed.” and they STILL stayed outside the door for a minute and then left. The thing that made me feel super uncomfortable was not just that but they ONLY KNOCKED ON MY DOOR. No one else on that floor. Not even my neighbors. The floor was so so dirty you could tell it wasn’t swept properly because there was pieces of some type of black paper and ashes. I kept my sandals on for that reason.

The pool gate didn’t open for us. We requested a balcony, it had one but that unit didn’t have access to the balcony which that sucked. One of the glass sliding doors was broke we realized that once we made it to the room
