The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

As a germaphobe, I hate staying in hotels. Cleanliness is key when I look for a hotel to stay at, even if I have to pay a little more. However, The Phoenix Inn was not the most expensive hotel in town, but it did have the highest ratings. I took a chance and went with the ratings. At the time of making my reservation through Booking.com, I indicated that I preferred a walk-in shower if available. Not more than five minutes after I booked the room, I got a call from the hotel. She I formed me that a walk-in shower was not available, but she did have a shower/tub with lots of grab bars. I really appreciated that someone even bothered to read the additional comments, I honestly wasn’t expecting that. I got one of the best nights of sleep there than I have gotten in a long time.

The only things that would have made my stay better was a hair dryer that worked and automatic front doors. There was a hair dryer in the room, but it wouldn’t turn on even after verifying that the outlet work. I am disabled, so it is sometimes difficult for me to open heavy doors. Not having automatic doors was especially problematic when I was trying to bring the luggage cart into the building. I think bringing a luggage cart through manually opening doors is difficult for anyone, disabled or not.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly & explained how to get to the room, where the ice was, etc. This was our second time to stay there & we'll stay again.

The ice machine was broken, but there was an ice chest with ice in it for folks to use: by the time I wanted ice, it was all pretty much melted. The lady at the desk had told me the ice machine was broken, so I knew it beforehand.

The location and view. I liked the new renovations with the new decor.

I stayed in two different rooms and both had problems with the showers. They called maintenance but neither issues were solved. The rooms are overpriced for both the gym and pools not in service.

The area was great and the bed was comfortable, also enjoyed the theme

Valet was expensive for something you are forced to do. Not to mention extremely hectic when loading and unloading. Staff charged me twice and seemed irritated that I was asking questions to resolve it. Room was smaller than expected

It wasn't like a normal Homestay Suites that I love. This was very outdated in the rooms. But it's not so bad that I wouldn't use this spot again. Towels and bed spread were white and could see yellow stains. But all seemed clean. I've stayed at some nasty hotels this isn't one.
