The staff were friendly and attentive enough. The location was very key. Especially within the greater plans that surrounded the trip into the city. The hotel being in the heart of downtown, and so close to Grand Central Terminal explained the high price per night, but the experience did not justify the price.

The hotel was horrendously under staffed and over booked. I can attest that I was not the only guest whose room was not only not ready at the specified time of 4:00pm, but remained not ready for an hour past that. The trip to the city over the weekend was to attend the Governor's Ball festival up in Queens, and my schedule from leaving my home to arriving at the festival in time to see the artists I wanted to was meticulous and even accounted for the room not being ready when my spouse and I arrived prior to 4:00pm. I was prepared to leave the luggage with the staff and go, but we had arrived at the hotel at 3:40pm. Just enough time to wait for the room to be ready at 4 and leave my belongings there instead. I was initially led to believe the room would be ready at 4pm, as listed on Booking, according to Ms. Dalma, the first person to attend to me. Had the room been ready at 4, the plans to attend the festival would not be impacted. The issue was the staff, as hard as they were working together to resolve this issue, simply could not and were not very organized and forthcoming with the issues. I even overheard them mentioning there was no manager that could attend to an unhappy guest demanding to speak with one. As a result, my spouse and I lost 40 minutes waiting on the room with no clear idea of when it would be ready (or at first, no clear idea why I/we had to keep waiting). Returning from the festival, the room was finally ready. The person to give us the keys, Mr. Phillippe, was very understanding of my grievances, and gave a free late check-out. However, my biggest issue is that the staff were disorganized and not clear or transparent. Dalma, Nicole, Phillippe, everyone kept bringing up free breakfast. Said free breakfast came with the reservation done through Booking. It was already included. The staff are not to blame. But given how the situation was handled, perhaps doing nothing would have been better than how they all tried to rectify it.

I liked that it was secluded but close to everything. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Plus there was a beautiful Jasmine bush outside so we could smell it while having coffee in the morning in the kitchen with the window open. It was very nice and peaceful.

Driveway is a little narrow but once we figured out the best way to get in there, it wasn’t so bad. LOL!!!

The pool was closed..the outside of the place looks kinda old..even tho it's newly painted..you can tell it's been there a while..personally, that doesn't bother me..but some might find it off putting

towels dirty. walls in bathroom dirty. fireplace doesn't work it was a reason to stay there. front desk double charged me even after I asked why. no manager on premises to fix issues. really bad experience. I asked for discount but nobody cares.
