The room had a fun bad smell the made the wife a little sick. I told them at the desk, I'm don't want to take a change because she had a lung transplant, and we cannot play around with that. We got to the room around 4 pm and I smell it a little but I wasn't sure. When we went out late that night, she smell it on her mask. They didn't even offer me another room that morning, which I was book for three nights. They told they have to wait on someone to check and see.

I typically like Holiday Inn Express Hotels, it was very clean and my wife and I enjoyed it. The room was very nice for the price, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was good. We had a nice morning to eat our breakfast out on the deck.

For starters, when I tried calling the hotel to see if there was any way to get an early check in it took me about 20mins just to get anybody on the phone. I have never had to wait that long to speak to anybody at any hotel before. When we checked in, the room did not seem to be properly cleaned. I kept finding little things all over the carpet like old snacks and little plastic things, which was not great given we had a toddler in the room. The shampoo and soap in the shower had not been replenished and was pretty much empty when we arrived. After we asked to have our room serviced, our towels were not replaced. They took the wet ones but didn't give us new ones. There was a funky smell in portions of the room, almost like old Mexican food or something. Not sure if it was coming from the AC unit or the carpet. The pool was nice and well heated but not very clean, there was a lot of hair floating around, but we did go in in the late afternoon. The furniture could definitely use an upgrade, it was falling apart, and the bathroom was very very dark. Terrible lighting. The bathtub stopper didn't really work so it was hard to draw our son's bath. When checking out the staff member didn't even ask how our stay was. This was not the experience I would expect from a Best Western hotel and for the price paid, and has never been my experience in the past with BW. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

This hotel uses cleaning products that reek. With a sensitivity to smells, my asthma was triggered and made my stay uncomfortable. All my clothing had to be washed the next day to remove the odor that permeated everything. Even having the window open while I was in the room did not help to dissipate the odor. The odor is very noticeable from the moment you walk into the lobby.

The unfriendly and disgruntled breakfast hag who treated people of a certain race differently than the rest. This person is the reason why the accommodation will be rated very low. Nobody warned me of stepping back in time to the Civil War/segregation era. Keep the kiddos away from her as they will likely be scolded by her and told they are in her way!!!!

Bathroom had no hot water. We were switched to another room, which had toilet problem. It keep backing up. The staff wanted to switch or room again. I insisted we not move again. At which point they were able to fix the toilet. Paying over $400.00 a note I don't expect those type of problem
