This motel provided excellent value for the money. The contactless check-in process was convenient - I received a text shortly after booking that included our door code. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The shower had good water pressure and the water stayed hot the entire time. They also provided more than enough towels and washcloths. I would highly recommend considering the Oakwood Inn if you're traveling through Sterling!

One tip though - there was not a blowdryer in the room. So, if you would like to blow dry your hair after a shower, definitely pack your own.

The place needs to be shut down! Unbelievably, gross, nasty, unclean, and deplorable! Every single thing was dirty! And not to mention the drug users and dealers all over the property, along with homeless people. When you get there, they'll claim they can't find your booking reservation. Beware of your bedding when you stay. Always check for roaches and bedbugs!

The rooms were very nice and clean. The front desk person was very nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfasts were delicious. Homemade waffles and assortment of fruits, yogurts, cereal, juices. All of the staff were kind and courteous which was wonderful as we had drove in from out of state for a funeral.

Our room reeked of cigars. (223)They told us they had no more rooms that night but they would comp our night- we checked in around midnight . We had to move out in the am and check in to a different room the next day. That room, 805, was nice. We checked out and when the emailed receipt later they did not comp the room and when we tried to call at 8 pm the day of check out we could not get anyone to help us clear up the issue. Irritating that they charged us after saying they would not and then not be available to clearing up. I’ll be contacting my credit card, booking.com and Hyatt gold passport immediately
