At first I thought we made a terrible mistake because of how close the freeway was. However, 99% of the noise was gone when we went inside. The night clerk Rihanna was a huge help. There was no fridge in our room despite it being advertised as being there. She got one from another room for us and was a huge help with our key problems. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room worked pretty well for a handicapped couple. Breakfast was varied and tasty.

If you’re going to have a handicap accessible room, it should NEVER be so far from the breakfast area. We were the next to last room on the left corridor. There was no handicapped parking space close by. The key system was the worst. You need to update this! First, I couldn’t figure which way the key went. Neither way worked for me. As I said, Rhianna came down and got us in. I never could get the outside door to unlock, so I had to park my husband in his wheelchair to hold it open.

Loved all of the restaurants in the area, and easy access to West Seattle. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the shower/bath combination.

There were quite a few homeless camps scattered about. We felt safe walking around by day, but a little uncomfortable at night.

We had a nice basement with everything we needed. We only slept there. It’s great value for the price, and the house is on a nice, quiet street.
Negative section of review
The house is well located; however, it can be pretty challenging if you plan to commute to Manhattan. The buses don’t always stick to the schedule, and the train was also delayed, arriving already packed. We took Uber a couple of times, which was quite expensive. It didn’t make sense to stay so far away to save money on commuting. Next time, we’ll look for something closer.

Clean, good bed, and simple to get in and out at a great location… what’s there NOT to like about The Loft.

I have nothing bad to say. Even though the shower gel and shampoo contraption wasn’t working, you still had a backup for it.

Charming old fashioned tourist camp in a convenient location. Spacious. Gracious host. Down home comfort.

If you're looking for a modern Hilton type place don't stay here. It's great for us, but it is a bit run down by time.
