On the positive side, there was plenty of parking available. The location is just outside the city, which we knew beforehand, and within walking distance there’s a gas station, a skate park, and a Whataburger. A Walmart is also only a short drive away. The property does have a swimming pool, although the area is poorly maintained.

We booked a room with 3 double beds for my 4 children and me. Upon arrival, the room we had reserved wasn’t available. Instead, they placed a folding guest bed in a room with 2 queens. After that there was hardly any space left, and the extra bed was quite uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very limited — just waffles, cornflakes, toast with one type of jelly, and nothing else. No ham, no cheese, no eggs, no yogurt, no fresh fruit. The staff was quiet but somewhat friendly (some more than others). However, the female owner was rude in every possible way, both toward me and my children. The male owner, on the other hand, was friendly — especially with my 10-year-old son. He gave him free sodas, ice cream, and toys, but then invited him to go to the movies with him, which I found inappropriate. Another issue: the owners’ dog, a chihuahua, pees on the carpet throughout the hotel. They see it happen but do nothing about it. I didn’t ask for daily housekeeping, only for 5 fresh towels for the 5 of us. Housekeeping did provide them, but never once with a smile.

This place obviously has had some storm damage. Just poorly painted over the damage and there was mold showing through. Lots of rusted things in the room. Dirty walls, bathroom had toothpaste still on the faucet.

Rooms have AC unit locked at 74. Its 120 outside. One big suite and little AC does not work well to keep room temperature comfortable. Frig in room didn’t work. All my food went bad. Hotel sent staff to check it out- said they fixed it, nope

The room was TIGHT. The room was extremely small with the sofa bed hitting 3 walls of the living room. For this place to have the word “suites” in their name, hotels I have stayed at have been roomier. The cleanliness was below expectations as the elevator needed a thorough cleaning along with the hallway carpets, it just had an awful rundown odor and the appearance was pretty much the same. There were stacks of old mattresses and construction debris outside; so maybe some updates were going to be made. We picked this place because breakfast was included…after the first morning we ate out every other morning. Yogurt was served in an open bowl with scooper, fruit was in an open bowl with scooper as were the hard boiled eggs - buffet style with no coverings but in ice. Honestly, just thought there have been many improvements made in the hotel industry over the years and this place felt like it was back in the 90s.
