It's the first time to give 1/10 in hotel review in my life. The hotel location is close to the University at Buffalo. Other than this point, there is nothing good at this hotel. There are many hotel options around UB. I'll never stay here again in the future.

Fire alarm sounded two times during my staying. Aug.21, 2025 at 11pm Aug.23, 2025 at 4am Firefighters came to check but nothing found. There should be a fire alarm system problem in this hotel. It's a nightmare of staying here. If you want a military boot camp training to wake up in the middle of night, you can stay in this hotel. Otherwise, I urge you to avoid it. The hotel promised basic cleaning every other day. But, nobody came in the past 5 days. I complained to the front desk many times. They apologized for the situation and gave me towels. It's the problem of the housekeeping staff or their administrative record. No shops and no restaurants nearby. Nothing around the hotel. Very bad safety. Fire alarm falsely sounded. It would reduce the alertness of the people if a real fire happens. Front desk staff were nice in response as I complained the above issues to them. But, these problems were out of their control. Due to multiple issues in this hotel, I'd never return.

Classic New England house. Very clean. Not fancy, but well appointed. Nice screened in porch area for tea and banana bread in the morning. Generous towels for use. Comfortable bed. Beautiful garden for sitting and strolling. Steve is a warm and welcoming host.

Overall it was good experience. Clean towels and sheets, fairly good breakfast, quietness. It was all I was looking for in a hotel. Also, the views to the corn fields and the closeness to different amenities was something we appreciate.

In comparison to La Quinta (near DreamWorks Park in New Jersey, this was a let down. Over there, breakfast was more elaborate and with more variety. Pool was smaller and some of the common areas were not clean.
