    - “The beds were soooo comfortable, and they were real beds not bunk beds, the roof was very high, and the sleeping room was clean, for the showers the water was hot,and they were cleaned regularily, and the socialising room looked like a phenomenal pinterest room for me, it has a variety of beautiful collected stuff, woody furniture everywhere, and beautiful peranakan tiles and design, booklets about penang and a collection of books, and a piano, a working one. I enjoyed staying in the socialising room, to the point that I started thinking that I should buy a house similar to that and settle there, The owner was so kind and helpful, and he came regularly to clean the house, and the location of the hostel was perfect close to anything you may ever need. I just loved this house, it felt like a real warm home, not a mere hostel, and I met lots of sweet girls there, what a wonderful experience! I wish there were more only females hostels like this one in every city.”

      In hindsight would’ve probably stayed in Kittery or Ogunquit instead since our kids seemed to like those areas better. We were 2 adults and 2 teens staying for 3 nights. Both beds and the sofa bed were comfortable and we all slept well. View was nice. Home has not been updated in decades which we already knew from photos. The carpet wasn’t the cleanest. We were lucky to have mostly mild summer days but definitely made use of the fans provided. When it was warm we used the AC units but had some frustrations with them as we had not used them before. They worked but were duct taped in order to work. As another reviewer mentioned, you’re paying for the view.

      Jennifer’s place was exceptional! Very well kept and a luxurious feeling as soon as you walk in. Everything was very clean and the entire unit and bedding/towels smelled wonderful. The views of downtown are incredible and I love her LED light table. It look amazing at night. Jennifer was super helpful and responsive during my stay. She has a wonderful folder with the rules and a welcome greeting. The complimentary bottle of wine is a classy touch!! Definitely worth the value, I will be staying again should I need to!

      We had a power outage in our room...the bathroom electricity was still working. That was odd. I contacted the front desk immediately and it was taken care of. The gentleman that answered actually called back to see if the power had been restored. We were in room 441. I have one suggestion, and I say this on all hotel surveys. Please include 4 sets of towels, not 3 for a double room. We will definitely be back. We didn't have a chance to enjoy that beautiful pool area.

      The staff was not friendly, the hallway carpet smells bad, the room was uncomfortable, the bathroom doorknob was broken and doesn’t shut, the toilet flasher was broken and the water kept running with annoying sounds the whole night. I even recorded the horrible sound and made the front desk staff to listen to it. I complained about that to management and they told me that an agent from the front desk will stop by immediately, but nobody came and nobody bothered. Overall, the place is horrible and erroneously this is the second time I stayed there. I booked there and forgot the name of the place. When I arrived there I remembered the place, but it was too late to cancel as we were tired driving from Orlando Florida going to Rhode Island. This place is not a decent hotel and does not deserve the price they are charging.
