Closeness to the French Quarter, staff available til 3AM, full kitchen open 24 hrs, dedicated spaces to do work that’s semi quite, movie room, solely and only personal showers (that are cleaned 4 times a day), movie room, free pool table, staff kept kitchen clean (even though it’s of course everyone’s responsibility to clean up after themselves), washer and dryer on site ($3/each), free luggage storage, mini-market if you’re hungry. Free coffee, hot tea, and ice. Locks are also present on lockers and included for free. Towels, sheets, and pillows are also provide as apart of the stay. Very posh and fine establishment. Lots of foreign guests (non-American, usually German, French, and a few English guests).

No balconies (central to New Orleans history and architecture), windows don’t open, A/C isn’t powerful enough to keep room cool unless blackout shades are completely closed (therefore no natural light), request for the A/C to be cleaned by maintenance left unmet, no rooftop bar (missed opportunity to mix & mingle), bathrooms have poor ventilation & you’re unable to prop bathroom door open (therefore, bath steam can linger for hours & the possibility of mold is highly possible, BUT no visible or present mold seen), kitchen fridge states it’s cleaned EVERYDAY (that’s a lie, fridge was fully packed and smelled like rotting food), kitchen freezer was the size of a small mini fridge and also packed full and never cleaned out. Alcohol could only be consumed on the first floor and could only be secretly brought up to your room. AND WORST OF ALL, NO DEDICATED ALCOHOL FRIDGE. In fact, no alcohol could be stored in the fridges at all.

We came for a brief one night stay as we were visiting friends in the area. We were very impressed with D Hotel's facilities and staff, and we'll definitely stay again when we return for another visit.

In need of an upgrade! Soiled carpet, leaking refrigerator, only 1 person can shower at a time due to no hot water. Definitely need a bigger water heater! Kitchen sink loose and wobbly, needs new frying pan ( I purchased a small one and left it there). The coating is peeling off and it doesn’t sit flat. When you flush the toilet the water rises to the top before it goes down every time! It’s just so outdated and spoiled that you never felt clean.

Staff seemed indifferent when we called to tell them the carpet in our room was wet under the sink and by the bathroom. They offered a different room only after we complained twice. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy. The halls smelled of smoke and the rooms did not smell clean.

AC unit was leaking and water started coming up through the floor. They fixed the AC unit however, water continued to come up from under the floor. This was really frustrating.

Property is right on the beach. Very short walk to get to the beach. It was clean, there was an elevator. The pool area was nice too. It was a cool temperate in the rooms compared to other hotels that are mostly humid in the rooms when you first go in. The staff was friendly. There was cleaning service every morning

I came down with 2 cars and they were only able to give a pass for my one car. It’s their policy I understand that but parking spots in the front were so tight. I could fit my car in but I couldn’t open my door to get out of the vehicle without my door hitting another car’s door. They later on agreed to get my car pulled into their garage. They told me to park my second car 2 blocks down the road in front of a residents home and said nothing will happen but I had a parking ticket issued and left on my windshield. The room that I thought I was booking for in the booking.com website was not the same room they situated us in. The photos in the website showed a completely different room setting and photos compared to what we were given at check in. There was nothing in the bathrooms except for towels. Usually hotels will have spare toothbrushes or even shampoos for the costumer but this one didn’t have anything. The kitchen was very small with little to no more left to wash any of the our dishes.
