New Orleans, Louisiana

We were upgraded to a 2 room suite over our one room and were very pleased. The kids were able to play and we were able to move around and get things done without them being under foot. The kitchen had a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove and full size refrigerator. It was supplied well. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating from the onset. They were very happy to offer assistance in things to do and the best way to accomplish them. Not too far from the French quarter, within walking distance if you so choose and there are restaurants close by as well. Looking forward to another trip to New Orleans in the future and would definitely consider staying here again.

Parking garage not onsite, so with children we did decide to use valet. A little inconvenience mixed in with the convenience of it all. Have to pay for parking regardless, $30.00 for parking garage, $55.00 for valet, plus taxes and fees.
Talkeetna, Alaska

We just loved our stay. The cabins were comfortable, clean, and had everything you needed while visiting Talkeetna. Mike and Tracy were friendly and helpful hosts. The porches were lovely for coffee and reading and the firepit was a great way to meet fellow travellers.

Hotel is beautiful, but the rooms are slightly dated. Rooms were clean enough, but showing age (carpet, etc) Breakfast looked really good and was a real Continental breakfast, but we were almost too late, so options were limited (our fault, not the hotels).

Shower enclosure was very tight. Anyone over 6'2" would have a real challenge.
Keaau, Hawaii

We loved staying in a private, homey space tucked in the tropical forest. It had all the amenities and supplies we needed for our stay. The location halfway between Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Hilo was perfect for what we wanted to do.

The tropical location means beautiful flora and also lots of mosquitoes and flies and all the (very loud!) noises of forest creatures especially the coqui frogs.

I didn’t like that the WiFi kept disconnecting. There were very few breakfast options. We also had a clogged shower drain that kept backing up, so we couldn’t use the shower during our stay.

We arrived at what I thought was a normal time, 6-7pm, on a weekday and supposedly every single other family room was sold out and we got put in the handicap room with no tub.
