Overall, our stay at the Sonesta was very pleasant. The hotel itself is bright and welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the check-in process was seamless. The location was excellent! - close to convenience stores, restaurants, and the pier, where we were able to watch the 4th of July fireworks, which was a highlight of our trip. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean.

Despite the no-smoking sign outside the lobby doors, we frequently encountered people smoking right by the entrance. Twice we had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get inside, which was unpleasant and something I wish the hotel enforced more strictly. The biggest disappointment came after our departure. We left very early in the morning and in the rush, I had left a few clothing items behind. When I later called the hotel, I was told nothing was turned in to lost and found. I recognize it was my responsibility to pack my belongings, but I would hope that any items left in a visible spot (like on a desk or windowsill) would be collected and logged in lost and found. To me, integrity and accountability are important in hospitality, and this experience left me disheartened.

Great location and views. Comfortable, clean, with pretty much everything you need during your stay. Could have a couple more fans since it doesn’t have AC but most days aren’t really that hot. Comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen, life vests, etc.

It’s not the most accessible place. In order to go to the water you’ll need to move down a big set of stairs which we knew but I can see it being an issue for other people. Same thing applies for getting into the water. There’s no stairs or ramp, just big stumps. Moving the kayaks and paddle boards can be challenging if you’re on the smaller side. Just something to keep in mind.

The shuttle van needs repair or updated, was a noisy rough ride. Also was going to visit Cassidy’s when we returned from our concert and decided against it because we seen that there was at least 2 industrial sized fans through the doors from the bar inside and figured it would be too hot in there to enjoy the rest of our evening so we went up to our room and went to sleep.

It was quote unquote animal friendly but did not have any rooms in which animals did not stay which was a problem as my husband is allergic to cats! Do not stay here unless you want to room with a pet had we known that I would not have booked the hotel

I had a billing error with booking.com which I didn't know that is how the room was reserved. I'm still trying to work it out. I was billed for 2 rooms instead of one.
