It was everything I expected and more! Deiverson was incredibly helpful including on the day we checked out, we asked if we could use the common areas and free kayaks/paddle boards even though we had checked out of our room and they allowed us to do so. We were gone all day, enjoying the mangroves and small islands in the area. An abundance of wildlife can be seen as you paddle around the different areas, including sea turtles, toucans and so many other birds, stingrays, crabs and much more! Incredible stay overall and only regret was staying for only 1 night (it was meant to be a pit stop to cut our drive time shorter from Rio to Sao Paulo).”

  The property manager Kendrick has great character and integrity. You can only respect that type of management because the establishment also echos his commitment to his job as well. Rooms are very clean and very peaceful hotel. Thanks again Kendrick and I will definitely be coming back sir!

  Another great stay at the Mermaid Inn, Bill and Darla are always so accommodating and the rooms are spacious with room to sprawl. Tastefully decorated and even a little fridge/freezer and microwave, restaurants and downtown close by. Would book again for future trips to visit in laws.

  I love that the lobby usually has an activity but the rooms are so quiet. Very clean and comfortable location with parking right next door. I keep going back . I found it originally through Booking.com. It’s a good value.

  Very clean and the beach/ocean decor was so fun. Looked like the room may have been recently updated - very modern. It was cozy and comfortable, felt like home. Bed was great. It is a very quiet area.

  The stairs were a bit much, but the top floor is the best view. Bathroom a bit tiny. Parking by my building was a problem if a person didn't get there before evening. Beach is a bit of a walk to get to, but can see it from the distance.

  The room constantly smelled like chlorine, even our clothing had the odor of chlorine after we arrived home. The hot tub in the room was very out dated, the controls were not all in working order and it ran often throughout the night so we ended up turning the breaker off as the employee at the desk suggested if it was too noisy.

  The hotel need major changes in its facilities. The hallway was stinky, carpets are torn and smelly. The room doors have gaps that allows noise to come in the room. Hashish and other drugs smell is prevalent in entire of the hotel. The adjacent block of hotel is also noisy, there were some machinery being operated all day, I am not sure it was just during those days or a permanent work. In short the days I stayed in that hotel were horrible. The breakfast was: coffee, juice, cup cakes, and cereals, period. No hot items. The breakfast room is also stinky. If I pay $dollars more, I could get much better options than it.
