This time I only stayed one night after a cousin's wedding but as a child I was a regular visitor to Glasgow when we went to see my family there. Glasgow has some great galleries, museums and parks, and it's a good base for trips to the countryside (e.g. Loch Lomond) and to Edinburgh. Glasgow is a fantastic city with lots to see and do. Great shopping, lots of fantastic restaurants and plenty of culture if that's what you're looking for. There are a lot of things to do in Glasgow and this includes free entry to a lot of sites! Most of the people are helpful and friendly. Glasgow is a place with a lot of history, art, literature, sports, music. The food is good and there are some excellent places, serving traditional Scottish cuisine, or otherwise. I am from London and Glasgow is better value for money, for most things. This includes food and travel around the city. Sorry I was attending a convention and didn't get the opportunity to see much of Glasgow. Would like to come back again and see a lot more. We ate at the Taphouse iBar and Kitchen, 1046 Argyle street. Finnieston, Glasgow G3 8LY. The Club sandwich was very reasonable and very filling if you add chips. We couldn't finish it all. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. We had a lovely Spaghetti bolognaise at Ask Italian just a short distance from the bus station at end of Road. Well equipped kitchen and a well decorated property throughout. We travel to Glasgow a lot to see family, and we will definitely be booking this apartment again.
