The location was only a 10 minute walk from the busier hotel hub which was an easy flat walk. We did feel a bit isolated though as there was never anyone congregating in the simple lobby.

Called the "City of Sails" due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbor, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly is a blast!
Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sports events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of Viaduct Harbour.
Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 630 feet!
Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?
Getting to the city center is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect place to stay for your trip.

Although we were in Auckland for a Trade Show Event, it was the atmosphere being down at the Viaduct amongst it all, like looking out to the beautiful yacht's parked in the viaduct, the restaurants & cafes.
Just around the corner was the sky city tower & casino which was only a few minutes walk away.
Our uber was so nice & friendly like everyone that we met in Auckland.

Stayed in Auckland many times but this time I want to return.
The viaduct is vibrant and lots to see without having to get in the car.
Lots of Restaurants and Bars and action.
We ate in the Viaduct and avoided going up town. Auckland is quite hilly and disjointed.

I lived the first 30+ years of my life in Auckland, and was...
I lived the first 30+ years of my life in Auckland, and was a hotel Concierge in several of its best hotels for 10 of those. From that perspective, I have a detailed and intimate knowledge of the city’s many (once) great attributes.
As the country’s primary gateway, with most of New Zealand’s more famous attractions found outside of Auckland, the city nevertheless did once manage to offer some unique opportunities -Muriwai and the west coast beaches, Rangitoto extinct volcano exploration, Waiheke Island vineyard dining, and even limited whale watching options just 30mins sailing from the CBD.
But that was in its helsion days some 20 years ago. Since then, and particularly since C19, both central and local government have sort to systematically drown it in debt, massacre it’s infrastructure, and general make it a much less attractive place to visit, let alone live or work. As such, I avoid Auckland as much as I can. It is still easily the biggest population centre in NZ, but the fact that construction is stalled in the North Island (2024), but not in the South Island, suggests that Kiwis are leaving it to the new arrivals. Auckland certainly isn’t Gaza, but it’s nothing like it once was either.
Note - I didn’t comment on the “places” listed because my opinions would appear callous -hence no comment.

We were here as a family.
We were here as a family. It is perhaps not the most family friendly place right in the city so we drove out to other places outside of the city everyday.
There were lots of car parks doing cheap "early bird" car parks so parking is good value for a capital city making driving more affordable. Parking on the road costs alot more though.
The food options are good. From food courts to K Road, the Sky Tower and more fine dining. There is a new food court and new shopping lanes in the old shopping mall on the end of queens Street near britomart that was quite cool and the shopping options and quality has greatly increased since last time I was in Auckland.
There are a number of options for work out classes and gyms including hot yoga and hiit plates.
We found that there was a general calm about the place compared to many capital cities and although it rained alot we found that the sun returned quite quickly.
There are lots of pay to ride scooters dotted around good for saving the children's legs. It cost around ten dollars to get from 2/3 way down queen street to the bottom near the harbour.
There is an arcade and cinema halfway down queen street, the arcade was very reasonably priced and you top up a card which you can use over different occasions if you want to.
The sky tower was a nice evening with a great view of sunset and the city.
People are very friendly and chill here.
There is good access to soo many beaches and the many other tourists sports like the mineral baths, glow worms, lake taupo, the many many beaches and bays, a butterfly park and rainbows end also within easy driving distance and lots of malls just off motorway 1 both North and south in direction.
This accommodation provides everything that one might need without costing huge amounts. Breakfast was included in the room price and we were astonished at the extent of options available. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much problem, and we were able to park our car for the duration of our stay. Of course there was an extra for this but it was very reasonable given that we were needing parking in Auckland City! The hotel was walking distance to Queen Street, the Viaduct, the casino, Spark Arena. Perfect for us!
Front door has mortice lock, no danger of being locked out or latch being carded.
The room is as advertised except no balcony, safety deposit box, ironing facilities, spa bath or minibar, Although on front of house not noisy, I was not there during the day but the street seemed quiet when I was. close to bus routes into Auckland, the house is in Parnell midway between Parnell and Newmarket (Extensive shopping) train stations (For airport/CBD). I’d stay there again if I had reason to visit the Parnell area.
Reasonably cheap and comfy for a place in Auckland's CBD. I wouldn't underestimate this place as an option for Auckland accommodation, especially if you're on a tight budget but want to experience the sights of Central Auckland. Nice, quaint and private rooms with well-furnished and clean en suites. Beds are comfortable and usual hotel amenities are well catered for. Check-in and check-out self service is available which I thought was quite neat.
Dispite a few nitpicks I was pleased with my visit.
This was the night of the Auckland flood when we were bumped from a flight and then had another hotel give away a room that we had booked. We were very grateful to be able to get a room at the Holiday Inn that would accommodate 3 adults. The hotel was very clean and had very comfortable beds. Big windows in the room looked out over the city - a great view. It was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast that was included in the tariff was ample and had a good selection.
I did like the parking. There seemed to be a reasonable driveway to drive down and plenty of room to turn your car around etc. I liked how it was situated somewhat near the airport so was able to get the shuttle to the airport easily as it came and stopped at the hotel reception at certain times that u can find on their website and when you are booking the room. The room was pretty spacious for auckland and probably reflects the price well.
Plenty of free parking, which was a huge stress relief. Our room was comfortable, we had a great view, and all the facilities we may need. We also enjoyed the location of the Hotel, as it was out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but only minutes away from anything the CBD has to offer. A very easy commute to Spark Arena as well, just a few minutes drive. Value for money.
The location was good & a short drive to City Centre. The view from the balcony was excellent. The room & bathroom were small but comfortable. The hotel was fair value for Auckland. Reception & maintenance staff were very friendly & helpful. The next door restaurant was convenient & a hearty omelette breakfast. Onsite free parking was plentiful. I would book again.
Canadian finishing up a 2 week stay in NZ and picked this hotel because of the location near the airport. It is a very new property with a large room and very comfortable beds. Was in the room adjacent the front desk, so wifi was accessible in our room. Has fairly quick access to the motorway with about a 45min trip to the CBD during the morning commute.
I think this is the coolest hotel I have ever stayed at! When in Auckland, it would be a shame staying elsewhere.
The hotel is very, very interesting and unusual, and every little detail is very well thought of.
The bathroom and the balcony were very spacious and comfy.
Not too far from the city center.
Very comfy, convenient and trendy.
We loved it!
The hotel is well-located near Auckland's city centre, viaduct and universities.
The room was spacious with a large bed, big self-service kitchen and a balcony with good view.
I particularly liked the washing/dryer combination in the unit.
Staff was very helpful when there was a problem with the automatic credit card payment.
Room is spacious to fit 3 single beds and to lay our luggage. It was at a quiet part of the hotel. Away from the ongoing construction at the front of the hotel. Great location. Right in the middle Auckland CBD. Walking distance to all places of interest. Just next door is big supermarket.
Comfortable, spacious and clean. Very good location, with only four minutes walk to the SkyCity. You can hire a car from the airport and return to the station just next to the Hotel. Skydrive departs from the SkyCity to Auckland Airport. Extremely value for money, and surely be here again.
Very nice standard airport hotel. Bonus that they have a free shuttle, are very close to the Auckland Airport, have a restaurant on site and breakfast buffet that is included! It also made it very easy to get on the road south the next morning without having to deal with Auckland traffic.
Comfortable beds. Good facilities. Updated new bathroom. Excellent location 10 mins to airport and 5 from Manukau City Centre. Quiet rooms, good free WiFi. Stayed here a few times. Always my “go to” when staying in Auckland. Good safe parking inside the security cameras.
Very clean and well furnished hotel in the city centre. It was great that they have valet parking that can be booked on the spot, as the price was quite reasonable. The staff was really helpful and the whole stay was ideal after a long trip to get to Auckland.
Buffet breakfast. Parking is a breeze. Drive is accessible to about anywhere...city...airport.....malls....restaurants. Room is comfy. Tv channels galore. And that robot vacuum, feels like the hotel is always clean.
We were in Auckland to tour the city and bit before boarding a Viking cruise so the hotel location was excellent. Room was clean and quiet, mostly, as the city quieted at night. We did not have breakfast in the hotel
Good range of facilities, not too far from the airport - which was useful for us to catch an international flight in the morning and only averagely expensive compared to other Auckland hotels.
