The location of our room was good, close to the evening entertainment, the breakfast room, the pool, and the restaurant. We liked the free bikes, but didn’t realize they could not be ridden on the trails, only the street. We also enjoyed siting on our private porch listening to the music each evening. The ice tea in the lobby was great, just wish there was a closer ice machine. The property was clean and well kept and the employees seemed to take pride in keeping it that way.

On the computer there was a large bowl of fresh berries pictured, at the actual breakfast there were some smashed blueberries with a few slices of strawberries thrown in. I had assumed it would be a sit-down service breakfast. It was a buffet and was okay, but I felt a little mislead. My room was very small, I believe it was one of the smallest on the property judging from the size of the porch and the view was of the employee entrance to the breakfast area and the ice machine. The location however was great.

It seems there have been many changes since our last stay and I can say confidently it was not worth near the price we had paid for the weekend. They now require a $100 deposit when you check in, we had already paid for the room in full when we booked online. I’ve never heard of this at any other places we have stayed before. When we first arrived to the room, we noticed 3 pillows on each bed the size of a decorative couch pillow. When we went down to the pool, we noticed signs all over the doors and tables that bringing your own drinks into the area is now permitted, which used to be convenient for parents to be able to watch their kids and socialize without leaving them unsupervised. We were ready to leave and noticed you now need to go to the front desk to check the towels out to your room for pool use. When we got back to our room after a day of softball, our room had not been clean, nor had we had new towels to shower. When we went to call the front desk, I had noticed we didn’t even have a phone in the room anymore!!! We used a cell to call the front desk to request we get new towels and asked about the room not being cleaned and were told that needed to be requested for housekeeping to come now. This used to be our favorite place to stay. We have stayed in some of the rooms they’ve updated and were super nice but overall I think the motel is going downhill and overpriced for the services to be no longer offered. We were highly disappointed and will be finding a new place to stay when we come to town from now on.

Most of the furniture in the room was dirty or ripped or didn’t work. When we opened the curtain to the window by the beds. The clear stick was just laying there, and not sure what it was suppose to go to bc there were no blinds. The shower curtain in the bathroom didn’t cover the tub so water went all over the floor and I had to place a towel and my clothes to catch it. Didn’t have any body wash. The room didn’t feel clean or welcoming.
