The location is great, quiet, about 10-15 min from Duke and downtown Durham. This is a new construction, everything works, the house is very clean, there was a place to park on the driveway.

This is a spacious house with four bedrooms that can be rented independently, so be prepared that if you rent a couple of rooms, there could be other people staying in the house. In our case, we barely saw the other guests. We shared the kitchen, but again, this was not a problem for us. There is one bedroom on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor. What we did not like was squishy mattresses and cheap sweaty polyester bedding, that's the reason for our low mark for comfort. The owner can easily fix it though, if they want. Again, the house is new, the utensils, pots and pans and plates are spare and cheap, we had to ask for hangers in the closet (and were promptly given a few).

It’s in the registry of historical hotels so I wish they had more history on display. I would love to have seen old photos of the hotel in it’s heyday and descriptions of different parts of the property from days of old.

I wanted to pay with my credit card but the staff asked if I could please pay cash. I went back and forth arguing over using my card makes me feel safer since booking.com shows the hotel has one of the worst ratings, and paying with card allows me to have security if the rooms shown online are fake, dirty, bed bug ridden, I won't have to fight to get a refund or ask for compensation. I was asked to pay with cash o. The pretense there was a 20 dollar ad on raising my locked in deal I want to be able to dispute the payment but cNt I was forced to pay in cash. Plus a 20$ fee fora key I was never told in the review

Because I booked through here, I got the worst room they had. It was nasty bugs everywhere towels for 2 when there were 4. Handicapp parking was a half mile from the room. Needs renovation. All staff were rude and hateful. I wouldn't eat there considering how the dirty rooms were... mold on mirrors, no tables, no microwave beds were twins, not queens. They desk clerk stated thats what i get for booking online. No ice machines, no come machines..... It's just absolutely an awful place first, and last time, will I ever stay there.
