The we had suite with a terrace that allows you have a bay/city view and wraps around to an ocean view. 2 bathrooms was nice too.

It was clean, and the wait staff in the restaurant were all very nice. The gym was nice.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. The room went between freezing and warm/low airflow. No gluten free toast or other GF option at breakfast, even though the staff tried to be helpful. I had to call to remind the front desk to credit me $20/day for breakfast as a Gold member because they forgot when I checked out (even though they offered it at check in). The pool closed for most of our stay due to PH problems. Location was convenient to Indiana Dunes but otherwise wasn’t much around, so it felt overpriced for its location and for what you get.

The night time construction in the building next door. The staff up to the manager kept blaming the city. It wasn’t a city project, it was a private development or renovation. We were given no forewarning.

Arrived to a SMOKING PROPERTY, when it was advertised non-smoking, I'm highly allergic. Not only were there guests smoking, there were cigarette butts littered on the walkways, and in the common areas, close to all the units' doors. Inside my unit, it was left filthy, hair, dirt, food, unclean rugs, floors, linens, stained and wet towels, as well as broken items - lamp, suitcase stand, the bathtub didn't have a plug and didn't keep water with the lever turned up. For my 2 weeks stay, I was supposed to rest, do work, have zoom meetings, and record tape VO clips daily, yet I couldn't because the refrigerator made a loud generating sound on and off which shook the floors, and when you added the very loud AC to that, there was constant buzzing & disruptions. I contacted Booking.com over 12 times, starting the night that I checked in with over 40+ images/ 10+ videos taken as evidence, as well as over 80 messages via emails and texts - correspondences with the property, asking for a refund with the uncleanuness, health hazards, and false advertising, so I could move out immediately and find another place to rent. They also had 3 days of maintenance/construction happening, where they turned off the power for 4 hrs, and turned off the water for 2 whole days during my stay, which was "lied about to me", words from the Metroman water to me when I asked about the shut off work time, since I had a meeting scheduled at the unit. They miscommunicated the actual truth of having construction happening during my stay, with no compensation for the days of disturbances, stress, and blatant inconveniences. Booking.com nor the property gave me my refund, even though the property is doing illegal business... advertising a non-smoking property and unit, not providing that and then doing nothing - preventing or clean up the cigarettes or stopping the smoking.
