The apartment is spacious and airy, and the large backyard with deck is great. It's very well-equipped with washer, dryer, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, etc. There are several cafes and restaurants a short walk away, and other a slightly longer walk away. We had only a couple of questions for the hosts and their replies were quick and helpful.”

  From the moment we arrived, Tarpon Tale Inn felt like a little island home. Our room was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect —close to the beach, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The extra touches like bikes, beach gear, and the outdoor shower made it so easy to explore Sanibel without stress. Joe and the team were always kind, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions, even if we didn’t see them often in person. It’s clear they put their heart into this place, and it shows in every detail. We’re grateful for the warm hospitality and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the true charm of Sanibel Island. 💛🌴

  The breakfast was probably the best part of the stay. There seemed to be something for everyone.

  I had to be moved to a different room because Room 523 was pretty discusting. It smelled, was musty, the pillows and sheets smelled like smoke, the bathroom mirror had paint peeling all the way around it. I asked for another room and they gave me room 210. It was better but the bedding was pretty bad. The fitted sheet on one queen bed would not stay on. I think it was for a full size bed - way too small. I don't think I will be staying here again, despite the fact I have stayed at this location several times before and never had issues with cleanliness or bad bedding.

  We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and 5 days and during that time no one changed the towels and cleaned the room. My husband, who is disabled, could hardly enter the toilet without taking a bath because the bathroom is small. We emphasized that we needed a room for a person with a wheelchair
