  SO cute! It reminded me of a little hobbit house, for some reason! Close to town if you need anything, but doesn't feel like it, very peaceful. Hosts were very gracious, very responsive, making sure we were aware of all amenities like the pool, etc., to ensure we got the most out of the experience. It's old-school charm, not new luxury by any means - if you want that in G-burg, looking out over your neighbor's deck, have at it, at 3x the price. If you want serenity and cozy comfort, still close enough to town for items needed, this is the place - GREAT bargain!

  Good to know: no breakfast service at the hotel but many good options nearby. Hotel had an 80's vibe to it (Miami Vice colors) with a pink in-room hot tub, fun! Ocean view lived up to its billing -- steps from the sand and sea! Good parking facilities. AC worked great. Comfortable beds. Would stay there again in OC!

  The hotel has a premium price for the premium location, but the hotel itself is dated and could use a refresh on decor and facilities. The IT system was down when we checked in, which extended our check-in time by 15-20 minutes. Not clear if this was a recurring problem or just bad luck for us, but it seemed familiar to the staff.

  Only one exit and entrance, thru the lobby. The proximity to the highway is not a problem, but the noise the windows allow is. The traffic noise is prevalent.

  The view was wonderful.

  The AC didn’t work at all and for the amount of money paid to your hotel, you would expect something like that would work. We had to sleep with the patio door open and because of that, I would up with a horrible cold with no voice.
