- “This was my first time visiting Japan and have heard people recommend a ryokan+onsen experience, especially in Hakone. I'm so glad I did it here! I came with my mom and brother and we stayed in a Japanese style room and opted for the public onsen, which we used at night after dinner. There were probably only 5-6 women in there at the time, not crowded or busy. I wasn't expecting much, but the dinner and breakfast buffet were a pleasant experience, especially since we didn't feel like going out of our way to find a good food place in Hakone. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel as well and the people helping us at the front desk offer great service and spoke English well, which made our experience so easy. As a budget traveler, I was a little nervous to spend $350 for a night here, but it was worth the money and experience. (And of course, everything was clean, functional, etc. Just assume the bare minimums are easily covered).”

We had a nice breakfast with a variety of options including yogurt, breads and spreads, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, vegetables and boiled eggs. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. The Inn is charming. We were in the area to watch a bike race. We were able to walk to and from the gondola base.”

  I do not understand why I had to pay for shuttle when I am paying enough money for a room. My family and I waited for 5am when the shuttle was there and we were 5 adults and a baby. Also the room next to us s couple was fighting and next to my daughter's room the people party all night long without anyone saying a thing.

  What could of been better ... I Didn't Like That the last time I was there ... Wasn't Good At All .. Me an my guest are in our room .. 210 upstairs ok It's gets better .. I get a knock at the door I answer it It happen to be some I know... Not knowing that this particular person is not allowed or supposed to be on the property.of hotel . Ok ... My guest and I have know idea.. My guest goes down to pay for another night. An that lady miss jenny at the front desk assume s that My guest and I told the person thats.not allowed to come my to room So the lady kick us Me an My guest because they came to the door an we let him in Well we had know idea ..that was the issue or reasoning why this particular person can't come to my room So you just get kick out of the room knowing we were going to stay another night .. That totally un perfessional she hell s at people.. Because we know this person. Just because I know him ... As nothing to do with me An my guests that what she gets for a assuming JENnNY at the front desk..

  Cockroaches everywhere. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was infested with bugs. We immediately informed the owner, who said a pest control team would be sent as soon as possible, but no one ever showed up. I was sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and bugs were crawling over my bed sheets. I barely slept for three nights. I had to keep my phone light pointed at the mattress just to keep them away. This trip has been miserable, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. The owner made promises to help but never followed through. No refund, no solution—just empty words. Parking is also inconvenient. It’s a five-minute walk, and every time you want to use your car, you have to go up to the sixth floor of the garage. Do yourself a favor: avoid this apartment and book somewhere else.

You literally can’t walk across the floor without your feet turning black and Although I got my room for another night Cleaning ladies still tried 2 different times to come in without consent!!
