The location was good. The pool was closed and the cover was covered with green fungus and drew a huge amount of gnats and bugs. It just needs cleaned up.

As I stated above the bug situation outside was out of control. It made going out on the balcony difficult. The staff was very rude upon arrival. He was not happy we used booking.com and that we pre-paid. He wouldn’t check us in and we were very scared and nervous because we had our children with us and paid in advance with no way of being able to pay again. He insisted booking hadn’t send over the code yes paying them. We had to figure out how to call booking and get them to send a release in order to get checked in. After an hour we finally were checked in and frustrated to say the least. When we checked out he expressed attitude that he wasn’t paid until the morning. The room itself was fairly clean. We had two rooms and one didn’t have bed spreads and one did but they were stained badly. The pool cover really needs cleaned and outside bugs under control. The balcony lights need to be big lights also because all of the bugs come right to your door. Also the rooms smelled very badly and I’m guessing maybe pest control had been in that day. We aired them out and I had some febreeze. We were there for just the night as we weee going to Hershey Park in the morning so it was good for the night. The diner food is excellent!! I highly recommend Beacon Hill Diner!

We seen and killed roaches on two separate occasions. The ice machine was out of ice several times. The pool area needs to be updated. The pool was dirty. The carpets all through were stained and it smelled like sewage as soon as you walked out by the ice machine in the first floor. Breakfast was just okay.

Property was filthy and also not safe. We were shocked to find out we had a conjoined room because they didn’t mention it on the booking. To our surprise, we found this out the hard way- we opened what we thought was a bedroom door and walked straight into someone else’s room! There was no double door with dead bolts on each side like hotels usually have for these types of rooms. Zero safety measures to keep strangers out of each other’s rooms and also no website description for people to expect this either. I called the front desk to ask them if this was normal and as I’d start asking, they would hang up on me instead of explaining or telling me if that’s wrong. This happened about 9 times before someone actually talked to me. I still never got an explanation, they just switched our room without me even asking. When we got to the new room we found out it was the SAME way. The only thing that was different was they had hung a “do not disturb” door hanger sign (in Spanish only) on that door but out of curiosity I opened it, and it was also straight into someone else’s room just like the other one. We also had little black bugs all over both of the beds. I’m hoping they weren’t bed bugs but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the tub had bugs in it too. It was filthy. There is no separate kids pool which I thought was irritating. The amount of kids jumping and screaming all over each pool was not relaxing at all. I go on vacation to get away from stress and chaos, not to get it splashing pee water in my drink or screaming over our conversations. Also the “restaurant” is just a badly carpeted convenience store. Normally the carpet wouldn’t be an issue but this is right off the pool deck so I imagine it probably gets soaking wet and stinks in the Florida heat as it mildews. You order food at the cash register and they make it for you like Wawa.

Could not park recreational vehicle for a few minutes on the property stating it was their policy spoke to someone about it stated they would get back with me after they follow up never heard anything. Alarm going off at 4am for an extended period of time had to run down 8 flights of stairs with my infant son in the middle of the night just to reach the from desk and they announce a false alarm. Charged for breakfast that i never received asked for the charge to be removed no response. Asked Housekeeping for towels while on our floor she didn’t give them to me stating we will clean ur room later.
