- “The beds were soooo comfortable, and they were real beds not bunk beds, the roof was very high, and the sleeping room was clean, for the showers the water was hot,and they were cleaned regularily, and the socialising room looked like a phenomenal pinterest room for me, it has a variety of beautiful collected stuff, woody furniture everywhere, and beautiful peranakan tiles and design, booklets about penang and a collection of books, and a piano, a working one. I enjoyed staying in the socialising room, to the point that I started thinking that I should buy a house similar to that and settle there, The owner was so kind and helpful, and he came regularly to clean the house, and the location of the hostel was perfect close to anything you may ever need. I just loved this house, it felt like a real warm home, not a mere hostel, and I met lots of sweet girls there, what a wonderful experience! I wish there were more only females hostels like this one in every city.”

  Treat yourself in Cody with a stay in this historic hotel. Familiarize yourself with its history and you will enjoy it even more. Our room was very large (and not a special suite). Excellent location. Very comfortable and our room was spotless. Great restaurant and bar on site, too. Their staff was extremely helpful with a special gift shop request.

  Honestly, the only thing that drew us to this hotel was its location. It was very close to where we needed to be very early in the morning. The Hotel was average, nothing notable except that there were no ice machines to keep drinks and snacks cold for the ride home.

  I was unable to locate any ice machines to fill a small cooler for drinks and snacks. Also, there are no coffee shops or quick dinners like Denny's or Chili's close by. If you checked in late and were hungry, you are out of luck.

  The room was updated and did not smell. There were plenty of towels already provided. Breakfast, coffee, and ice water was available at no extra cost. Multiple options for breakfast. Pillows were really comfortable.

  Ants in the bathroom and old spill with mold growing on the bed skirt near the head of the bed. Also under the bed was clearly not vacuumed with old food there.

  They don’t check messages on booking.com. Paid for a pet room, but confirmation doesn’t welcome cats. It was very clear: dogs only. Sent a question on this. No response. On the last day before cancellation had to call the property to confirm they’re really pet friendly or just dog friendly. Didn’t seem to matter either way. I just went on to enjoy my exploration of Brookings before retirement. Now for the room issues: Window faces the sun No air conditioning. Bring a fan and your own coffee mug They take the time to provide you with an ice bucket, but the ice machine is not working. As a partially handicapped person, I had to walk all the way down to the office, then walk back with no ice. But they do provide in-room refrigerator with a freezer so if you plan ahead, you’ll be ok. Floors are filthy. My white socks were black when I left. Bring slippers.
